Welcome!
This guided meditation is an invitation to gently connect with the anger that you may have silenced.
Or held within your body.
Rather than judging or suppressing it.
You will create a space to listen to what your angle may be communicating.
Perhaps is a truth that needs to be acknowledged,
A need that has been neglected,
Or a boundary that's waiting to be honored.
So I invite you to find a comfortable position.
Or your body feels supported.
And make sure you will not be disturbed for the duration of this meditation.
Now I invite you to close your eyes.
And take a slow breath in through the nose and release it gently through the mouth and again,
Breathing in through the nose and slowly,
Gently exhaling through the mouth and one more,
Deep breath in,
Breathing in deeply and slow gentle exhale Let all the air out.
Bring your breath back to its natural rhythm.
And simply allow your body to arrive here.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Feel the weight of your body being held.
Know that there's nothing to fix,
Nothing that you need to force.
Today.
We're not here to silence your anger.
We are here to listen to your anger.
So I invite you to bring your awareness.
To the places inside you where words have been swallowed.
To the moments where you wanted to say no.
But you said yes instead.
The moment that something hurt,
But you pretended that it didn't.
The moments that you made yourself smaller just to keep the peace.
And you do not need to remember a particular event.
Simply notice where your body responds.
Perhaps in your jaw.
Or your throat.
Or your chest or your stomach or your hands.
You might feel a certain tightness or heat or pressure or restlessness.
Or perhaps you feel nothing at all.
Whatever is present is allowed.
So take a breath into that place.
And silently say,
I am listening now.
And I want you to imagine your anger as a presence sitting before you.
And it might appear as a fire or as a color,
As a creature.
As a sound or simply an energy.
And I want you to notice it without judging it.
This anger is not here to destroy you maybe the part of you that remembers what is it that you deserve.
The poor that knows where a boundary has been crossed.
The part that has been waiting for you to stop abandoning yourself.
So I invite you to ask your anger gently.
What have you been trying to protect?
And just pause and listen.
Do not search for the answer with your mind.
Let it rise either through a word or an image,
A sensation.
Or simply an inner knowing.
And I'll ask it another question.
What's truth?
Have I been afraid to speak?
And simply listen.
Perhaps the truth is that hurt me or I deserved better.
Or I do not want this anymore.
No.
Enough!
Or perhaps your truth.
Has no words yet.
Let that be enough too.
Now I want you to place one hand over your heart.
And the other hand,
Whatever your anger leaves in your body.
And I invite you to say silently the following words with me.
You no longer need to scream through my body.
I will listen.
Before you have to become pain.
I will honour.
The boundary that you came to reveal.
Now take a deeper breath in.
And as you breathe out.
.
.
Imagine releasing the silence that was never peaceful.
The silence that created.
Fear.
The silence that was created by conditioning.
Or the needs to be accepted.
You're not releasing your power,
You're releasing the pressure around it and you're feeling your anger changing.
Not disappearing,
But becoming clear.
Becoming discernment.
Becoming courage.
Becoming a boundary.
Now imagine a strong white light forming around your body.
And this light is not here to shut the word out.
It simply declares the following.
What dishonours me may not enter.
What diminishes me may not remain.
My voice belongs here.
Now take one final full breath in and release it slowly.
Feel the ground beneath you again.
Notice the room around you.
Gently move your fingers.
Your shoulders,
Your jaw.
And before you open your eyes.
I want you to say silently.
My anger is not my enemy.
It is a messenger.
And I am ready.
To heal myself.
Whenever you're ready You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
And come back.
Return with the quiet strength of someone who no longer needs to disappear to be loved.
I'm sending you much love.
