Welcome.
It's good to be with you.
Today I'll be sharing an embodied practice that invites you to feel the power of love on a sensory level.
Take a moment now to settle into your space.
Make any movements or adjustments necessary so you can arrive at maximum comfort in your body.
And once you've arrived there,
Allow your body to find stillness.
Notice,
As your body comes to stillness,
Where you feel your awareness landing.
Maybe it's sound in your environment.
Maybe it's a physical sensation.
Maybe it's passing thoughts.
There's no judgment here.
Just notice where you are right now and allow that to be.
And as you're ready,
I invite you to consciously bring your awareness to your heart space.
Allow your heart to be your anchor now.
It can help to bring one or both hands to this place,
To place them there gently at this anchor point.
And as we land in the heart,
We notice what's here.
Notice the energetic quality of what's right here in your heart space right now.
And know that whatever is here is welcome and it has space.
And from this space,
We'll move deeper into our practice.
We receive a lot of messages in our society about what it means to be in love.
With someone.
But here,
In your heart space,
We can allow that meaning and that messaging to fall away.
It will be there waiting for us after this practice for sure,
But for now,
Let's set aside all that we've been socialized to associate with the phrase being in love.
And let's see if we can just be with the feeling.
The feeling of being in love.
What does being in love feel like to you?
Can you call that feeling up right now in your heart space?
And this is not about another person,
Not about any fantasy or any vision of a particular kind of relationship.
This is just about the feeling.
What does it feel like in your body to be in love?
How do you feel love in your body?
Allow that feeling to rise.
Some of us experience that feeling as a felt sense of warmth.
Maybe you feel it as expansion.
Maybe you feel tingling or pulsing.
Maybe it feels like a deep exhale or a wide smile.
What you're feeling right now,
That embodied sensory experience of being in love,
This is you.
This is your energy.
This is your vibration.
This is you having the felt sense of remembering yourself as love.
Allow yourself to feel it.
Notice how it lives in you.
Notice how you can access right now in this very moment,
In your own body,
This love vibration.
And you might notice that your mind wants to start to attach language or meaning or story to what you're feeling,
And that's okay.
That doesn't mean that anything has gone wrong.
It's a natural thing that our minds do.
You can acknowledge that if it's happening.
And then return your awareness to what you're feeling.
Ground back into sensation.
And feel yourself as love.
And you might begin to notice that as you feel this love internally,
As you notice these sensations in the body,
That love energy,
It wants to expand.
Love naturally wants to expand.
When we allow it to do so.
And we can consciously invite this felt sense of love to expand beyond the borders of the body.
Allow yourself to feel this love,
Not only inside of you,
But also all around you.
Allow that energy to hold you.
Feel yourself as the love that fills you up and feel yourself as the love that holds you.
And right now you're having the simultaneous experience of being filled with and held in the love that you are.
And I invite you to rest here for a few moments in the embodied experience of you as love,
Anchoring in the heart,
Feeling the sensations of love in your body,
And allowing that same love to radiate outward and hold you.
Slowly,
Gently,
You can begin to introduce subtle movement back into your body.
Your precious body,
The material that allows you to feel this love.
If your hands are still at your heart space,
You can keep them there if that feels right.
Or you can place them somewhere else on your body,
Allowing your body to tell you where it would like to be in contact with you now.
Maybe that's the belly,
Maybe the legs,
Maybe the arms want to wrap around you in a gentle self-hug.
Let your body choose.
And as we bring this practice toward a close,
Honor your body,
Thank your body for being the means through which you experience the miracle of sensation.
Remember the ways in which your body felt love during this practice.
You couldn't have that felt sense without the sensory,
Without the body,
Without your capacity to feel.
Your body serves this vital and beautiful purpose.
The purpose of feeling.
Your body is filled with the love that you are.
Your body loves you and your body is held in love.
And there is no separation between these love energies.
It is all one and it is all you.
And our path to liberation,
Should we choose to accept it,
Is to allow our felt sense of this love in our own time,
At our own pace,
Along our particular path to transform us,
To support our awakening.
And you have chosen this path just now through this practice.
When your gesture of gratitude to your body is complete,
You can gently open your eyes and come back and carry this loving awareness with you into whatever comes next.
And feel free to return to this practice anytime,
Whenever you might benefit from a somatic reminder of the love that you are.
Thank you so much for practicing with me and I look forward to meeting you here again soon.
Much love.
