As another day comes to an end.
I invite you to give yourself permission to slow down.
To put down the responsibilities.
The expectations,
The worries,
And the weight of everything you've been carrying.
Because right now.
.
.
There's nothing more you need to accomplish.
Nowhere else you need to be.
And no one you need to become.
You have done enough today.
So allow yourself to settle comfortably into your bed.
Gently close your eyes.
And begin.
By taking a slow,
Nourishing breath in through your nose.
And a soft,
Gentle exhale through your mouth.
Breathe in.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine releasing just 5% of the tension you've been carrying.
Not all of it.
Just 5%.
That's enough.
Feel the mattress supporting your body.
Notice how you don't have to hold yourself up.
You can allow yourself here to be held,
To feel grounded.
Maybe today was difficult.
Maybe today you felt overwhelmed.
Perhaps there were conversations you wish had gone differently.
Ingredient finish.
Moments when you questioned yourself,
Or maybe nothing particularly difficult happened but you still feel exhausted.
Give yourself permission to feel that.
Because whatever your experience today.
I invite you to acknowledge it without judgment.
You don't have to pretend the day was perfect.
You don't have to push away the frustration,
The sadness,
The uncertainty,
The tightness of the chest.
Simply recognize what's here.
And you might silently say to yourself,
Right now,
It's like this.
Right now,
It's like this.
Maybe there's tension.
Maybe there's worry.
Maybe there's a heaviness you can't quite explain,
But you can feel it.
See if you can make just a little room for whatever is present.
Allow it to be there.
Not because you want to hold on to it.
But because you no longer need to fight against it.
You can have a difficult day and still allow yourself a peaceful night.
Now gently bring your attention to your forehead.
Allow the muscles around your eyes to soften.
Release your tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Unclench your jaw.
Or let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Feel your arms growing heavier.
Your hands becoming soft.
Allow your chest and belly to relax.
There's no need to hold anything in.
No need to brace yourself for what comes next.
Bring your awareness down through your hips.
Your focus down to your thighs.
Your knees,
Your calves.
Your ankles,
Your feet.
All the way to the tips of your toes.
Imagine your entire body becoming a little heavier with every exhale.
As though the bed beneath you is gently inviting you to surrender.
And if you notice an area of tension,
You don't need to force it to relax.
Simply offer it a little kindness,
A little compassion,
And a lot of patience.
Your body has carried you through another day.
Allow it to rest.
Now,
Imagine that beside your bed,
Sits a small little basket.
A place where you can set down everything you no longer need to carry tonight.
Maybe there's something you're worried about tomorrow.
Imagine gently placing that worry into the basket.
A conversation you keep replaying.
Place that into the basket.
An expectation you didn't meet.
A mistake you made.
Something completely outside your control.
Allow each wound to be placed gently aside.
You're not ignoring your responsibilities here.
Simply recognizing that this moment is not the time to carry them.
Tomorrow,
You can return to whatever needs your attention.
But tonight,
This moment.
.
.
It's for rest.
Contrary to popular belief,
You do not need to solve your life before falling asleep.
You do not need to earn your rest through productivity.
You do not need to carry today's stress into tomorrow's possibilities.
For now.
You can put it all down.
If it feels comforting,
I want you to gently place one hand over your heart.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
And imagine speaking to yourself the way you would speak to someone you deeply love.
Someone who's had a long day.
Someone who's doing their best.
Someone who simply needs a little kindness.
Silently offer yourself these words.
May I be gentle with myself.
May I release the weight of today.
May my body find rest.
May my mind find peace.
And perhaps most importantly,
May I remember.
That I've done enough,
That I am enough,
Even when everything isn't finished.
Now allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
Okay,
Nothing to control,
Nothing to change.
Simple inhale,
Simple exhale.
And as you settle more deeply into the comfort beneath you,
Remember,
Today may not have been perfect,
You may not have achieved everything you wanted.
There may still be unanswered questions,
And that's okay.
Because your worth was never determined by how much you got done today.
And your peace does not depend on having everything figured out.
Let the day come to an end.
Let tomorrow remain tomorrow.
And let this moment be enough.
You've carried enough.
You've given enough.
You've done enough.
You can rest.
Namaste.
