Hello.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself.
This is a moment that is yours to slow down and simply be held.
If you're feeling alone right now you're not alone in that experience.
I understand what it feels like to feel alone even when there are people around you and in the space you don't have to carry that feeling by yourself.
In this meditation you'll be listening to words inspired by scripture as a gentle way of becoming aware of God's presence with you even in your loneliness.
So as we begin let yourself settle and breathe and be open to what you might encounter here.
We'll begin with some gentle breathwork to settle your mind and your body.
We'll inhale for a count of four,
Hold for two and exhale for six.
Take a slow gentle breath in two three four hold for two two and exhale softly for six two three four five six.
We'll do that again.
Take a slow gentle breath in two three four hold to exhale two three four five six and one last time inhale two three four hold to exhale two three four five six.
Feel your body settling.
There is no need to rush,
No need to be anywhere else,
Just be here.
If you can bring your attention to that place inside of you that feels alone,
Not just physically alone but that deeper ache,
Does anyone really see me?
Am I truly known?
Does anyone stay?
Just notice it.
You don't need to fix it,
You don't need to push it away,
Just let it be here.
Now gently hear this.
My precious one,
I see you in the moments when the world feels quiet,
When the noise fades and the ache of aloneness rises within you.
I see you.
I see you in the moments when you are surrounded by people yet still feel unseen,
When your heart longs to be known but doesn't quite know how to be held.
You are not strange for feeling this way,
You are human and you are deeply deeply loved.
I have seen every moment where you felt overlooked,
Misunderstood or left behind.
Not one of those moments was invisible to me,
Not one.
When you felt like no one noticed,
I was there.
When you felt like no one chose you,
I was holding you close.
Take a slow breath here and let that sink in even just a little.
You have never been alone,
Not even for a single breath.
Even now,
Right here,
I am nearer than you realize.
I am not distant from your life.
I am not watching you from far away.
I live within you,
Closer than your thoughts,
Closer than your breath.
I know the longing in you for someone to truly see your heart and I want you to know I do.
Completely,
Gently,
Without turning away.
There is no part of you that is too much for me.
Not your emotions,
Not your questions,
Not even your silence.
You don't have to hide your loneliness from me.
You don't have to make sense of it first.
Just bring it close,
Let me sit with you in it.
I am not waiting for you to be okay before I come close.
I am near to you right here,
In the quiet,
In the ache,
In the spaces that feel empty.
And even here,
I am filling those spaces with my presence,
Slowly,
Gently,
Faithfully.
As you begin to recognize me here,
Something will start to shift,
Not all at once,
But softly.
Aloneness will no longer feel like abandonment,
But like an invitation.
An invitation to encounter me more deeply than before.
You are not forgotten.
You are not unseen.
You are not walking through this life by yourself.
You are held,
Right now,
In this moment.
Take one more slow deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Just rest here for a few seconds.
Held,
Known,
Not alone,
Always.
As this moment comes to a close,
Just notice that nothing about his presence has left.
He is still here,
Still near,
Still holding you.
Take this awareness with you,
Into your day,
Into your thoughts,
Into those quiet moments,
And whenever you feel alone,
Just pause,
Breathe,
And remember,
You are never alone.
You are never alone.
