The Distance to Sublime is a studio recording featuring sine tones, synthesizers, guitar, and piano. The composition applies binaural beats utilising delta waves with a separation of 2Hz between the left and right ears. Delta waves are said to promote access to the unconscious mind, deep sleep, and may even support pain management. The binaural tone is tuned to 100Hz (L) and 98 Hz (R), hence playing the note G, but overall in E minor. As the composition fades the tone on the left slopes down 8Hz.
