This experimental work for contemporary chamber ensemble is based on sounds collected from 6 medicinal plants found in digestive health herbal formulas. This project was conceived with the aspiration that listeners might experience, through musical vibration, the subtle healing qualities traditionally associated with these botanical species. Utilizing PlantWave™ technology that translates bioelectrical fluctuations of living plants into musical data, award-winning composer Yuval Ron has shaped these naturally occurring vibrations into a cohesive musical composition. The signals from these plants were carefully orchestrated according to the proportional "dosage" of each plant within the digestive formula, allowing the music to mirror principles of synergy and well-being found in the herbal medicine.
