Hello darling,
My name is Shauna and I will be guiding you today through a visualization that will help you to find gratitude and peace through the use of Sankalpa.
Sankalpa refers to an intention or your deepest heartfelt resolve.
It is a positive,
Present tense statement,
A declaration of your highest truth.
You may already have a Sankalpa you'd like to work with during this practice or you may use one of the suggested Sankalpas when the time arises.
For now,
Take a moment to settle into your breath,
Ensuring your spine is aligned and upright,
Bring your gaze to your forehead and close down the eyelids when you're ready.
Allow your breath to move naturally in and out through your nose.
Notice the flow of air at your nostrils,
Gently flowing.
No need to control or change your breath here.
Gently noticing the natural breath flowing in and out through the nostrils.
And as you settle in now,
You might welcome in your Sankalpa,
Your most heartfelt resolve or intention.
If you do not already have a Sankalpa in mind,
You might work with one of the following.
.
.
I am grateful for all that I am.
I am filled with peace.
I embrace myself as I am.
Gently repeat your Sankalpa three times now.
I am grateful for all that I am.
I am filled with peace.
I embrace myself as I am.
Grabbing that Sankalpa now,
Bring your attention now to the space between your forehead.
Bring all of your attention within.
And resting your awareness now in the space behind the eyelids.
Allow your awareness to take hold of the vastness of this space,
Darkness expanding outward.
From this space of emptiness,
Can you start to imagine yourself standing in the middle of a field.
All around you in this grassy terrain,
There are flowers and trees,
The blue sky.
Take a moment to really imagine this beautiful field.
In the middle of this field,
You see a long dining table with chairs all around it.
And as you move closer to this table,
You see that in these chairs are all of your favorite people.
And on the table,
You see all of your favorite foods.
You start to realize that all of these people who mean so much to you have gathered here to celebrate you.
You look at the table filled with all of your favorite foods,
Surrounded by all of your favorite people.
And you notice an item in the center of the table that stands out to you.
It appears to be a seed,
Accompanied by a note telling you to eat it.
You take the seed and you swallow it whole.
And as it lands at the center of your chest,
You realize you've just planted the seed of your heart's desire.
Close to where the seed was on the table,
You see a vial marked drink me.
So without question,
You open the vial and swallow the entirety of the liquid.
And as the liquid reaches the seed at your heart space,
You feel the seed begin to germinate.
It's stems and roots anchoring into your heart.
You feel your heart's desire expand with each breath as the seedling transforms.
You look around at all of the people who love you and you see that the sun is shining down on all of you.
Its glittering golden rays providing warmth to all of your honored guests.
You bask in the joy of this celebration,
Enjoying the company of these loved ones,
Enjoying your favorite foods.
As you nourish your body and your heart,
Accompanied by the radiating light from the sun.
The seedling within your heart space continues to grow and flourish.
Until finally,
It blooms into the most beautiful flower you've ever seen.
Here you have the flower of your sankalpa.
Relish in its beauty,
Noticing what kind of flower have you nurtured here.
How large has it grown?
Does it continue to grow?
What colors are its petals?
Notice its fragrance,
Its texture,
Allowing this flower to expand within your heart space.
Welcome your sankalpa to radiate beyond your chest,
Filling your body and your aura,
Mentally stating it three more times.
I am grateful for all that I am.
I am filled with peace.
I embrace myself as I am.
Notice any sensations in your body that may be accompanying the experience of this journey.
Now that you are connected once again with your sankalpa,
Allow yourself to bask in any feelings that have arised alongside it.
Begin to drop the imagery if you haven't already and begin to familiarize yourself once more with your breath.
Sense the ground beneath you and inhale deeply and sigh it out,
Opening your eyes when you are ready.
Take a moment to notice the room around you.
You might turn your head to the right and to the left,
Looking up and then down.
And always remember that you can return to this place of celebration whenever the need arises.
Thank you for joining me here today.
