I invite you to find a comfortable space where you can move.
Find an opening within the space you are in or maybe you'd like to pop on your headphones and head outside.
Make sure that there's no strings attached to any device whether it be headphones that can't allow you to move freely or a confined space.
Make sure that you can move your arms,
Your legs and your body in a way that allows you to find freedom.
Let's begin by just standing,
Grounding our feet into the earth.
Whether you're standing on carpet,
Concrete,
Gravel or grass,
Allow your body to find grounded energy.
Lifting up your toes off the earth and then placing them down from pinky to big toe.
Spreading them as wide as they can in the surface of the earth.
Letting this grounded energy radiate through the ball of the foot and the heel of the foot.
Making sure your legs and feet are hip width apart.
Maybe you need to adjust them now and creating a slight bend in the knee.
Just a tiny tiny crack to allow your hips to sit in a comfortable position.
From here,
Placing both hands on your heart,
One on top of the other.
Dropping the shoulders down your spine,
Lengthening the crown of the head towards the sky.
Slightly tilting your chin towards your chest to open up the back of the throat.
Taking a deep breath in,
Release and let it go.
Breathing in and letting go.
One more deep breath in and letting it go.
From here,
Just letting your right ear drop towards your right shoulder.
Expanding and opening up through the left side of the neck,
The shoulder,
The ear,
The jaw and the side of the head.
You can bring your hands down by your side if you like or you can keep them to your heart space.
It's up to you.
Bringing your head back onto its axis,
Straightening the spine and then dropping the left ear to the left shoulder.
Opening up the right side of the face,
The neck,
The head,
All the way down through that opening.
Coming back through to your center.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Lifting up your spine and letting your head tilt back slightly.
Letting your face radiate towards the sky.
And as you exhale,
Come back through to your center.
Tugging your chin to your chest as you breathe in,
Opening up the back of the head and the throat,
The jaw and the tongue and the teeth.
Exhale,
Come back through to the center.
Let's begin to create some circles now by dropping the left ear to the left shoulder and allowing the head to drip forward.
Rolling around in a clockwise position.
Rolling up and back.
Coming back through the center and moving in your own time as you just gently allow your awareness to float to this part of your body.
Is it tight today?
Is it loose?
Is it anything?
Not focusing on it,
Just noticing.
Rolling back the other way.
Keep rolling through your spine.
We're going to continue making these circles now with our shoulders.
So start to engage the chest,
The shoulders and the arms in these circles.
You might find it easier to have your hands down by your side now if you haven't already done so.
Changing directions now,
Rolling back the other way.
Letting these circles just gently release around the axis of your being.
Letting those circles now come through down the chest,
Into the lungs,
The thoracic spine and down towards the stomach.
You may like to step the legs out a little further now just to feel a little bit more grounded and balanced in your body.
Change direction.
Letting those rolls release through the body,
Just gentle circles.
Not worrying about what it looks like or what it feels like but just surrendering to what the body feels capable of and comfortable in in this moment.
Letting those rolls now roll down towards the hips.
This is a time where you can actually place your hands upon your hips.
Letting these rolling sensations just start to ripple through the whole body.
Changing direction.
Rolling the upper spine and now the lower spine,
The whole spinal cavity is moving with your body.
Your hips start to move as your legs start to move and these circles start to create expansion in your being.
Rolling the other way.
And maybe now you'd like to create some V8s with your body.
Rocking the hips around from side to side,
Creating these beautiful figure 8 shapes up and down,
Back and forward.
I just want you to now really let go and release any notion of that you need to follow what I am saying.
Doing what feels right and let your body lead you.
Let this inner knowledge,
This inner wisdom that we have embedded in our bodies,
In our innate knowledge and understanding of what we need,
Of what you need in this moment and let it completely take over any cognitive function or ability.
Letting go of any thought pattern or judgment within ourselves and just move your body as freely and expressively as you can.
Maybe you like to roll through the ankles and the feet now along the earth.
Maybe you'd like to move around the space you are inhabiting.
Just moving the body in a way that feels comfortable for you.
Letting yourself just release and let go.
Expanding,
Expressing.
Maybe some shaking now becomes a part of this evolution of movement.
Shaking the wrists,
Shaking the legs,
The hips,
The back,
The head.
Gentle pulses of the shoulders as they drip down your spine.
Letting this movement encapsulate your body.
Letting out with breath,
With release.
Sending anything that doesn't feel right back into the earth through your feet.
Send it away and just be.
Letting those circles,
Those shakes,
Those ripples,
Those movements slowly come back into stillness.
Moving too quickly but just almost bobbing the body now,
Like bobbing in the water or the ocean.
Coming back into a stagnant space.
Feeling back into the feet.
Opening up those toes as they reach to connect you and ground you.
Once again moving that gaze of your eyes towards that third eye,
The pituitary gland,
This place of deep understanding.
Take some deep breaths.
Witness your within.
