Welcome to this meditation for finding everyday magic.
Find a quiet and comfortable space to sit or lie down.
And once you are nestled,
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath,
And let go of all the stresses of your day.
Let go of tension.
Notice softness.
And as you settle into this moment,
Remind yourself that magic exists all around us every day.
It's in the little moments,
The ordinary thing,
And the space that you find within the present.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Notice the tension leaving the body with every exhale.
Inhaling to open up,
And exhaling to soften.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Grounding yourself in this moment,
In your magic.
Begin to bring your awareness to your senses,
Noticing the sounds around you,
The gentle hum of the world,
The rustling of the leaves,
Maybe even laughter of people.
Feel the air against your skin.
Wiggle your fingers and toes to awaken your body.
What scents are present?
What comes to mind?
Take a moment to appreciate the richness of this sensory experience that you create.
And in your mind's eye,
Imagine a place that feels magical to you.
It could be a lush forest.
It could be a serene beach,
A cozy library,
A coffee shop,
Any place that resonates with you.
Picture yourself there,
Surrounded by the enchanting elements of your chosen space.
Feel the magic that surrounds you.
Feel the magic in the air.
Think about things you are grateful for in this moment.
It could be something as simple as warmth of the sun,
The presence of loved ones,
Or the gift of being present itself.
Let that gratitude fill your heart through each and every breath in this space that you have found.
Come back to focus on the breath.
Once again,
Inhaling slowly through your nose for a count of four,
And holding for a count of four.
And as you exhale through your mouth for a count of four,
Notice the shoulders become heavy,
The body become heavy,
And the space between the eyebrows soften.
Inhaling slowly through your nose for a count of four,
Holding for a count of four.
And as you exhale through your mouth,
Allow the body to nestle again.
Staying present in this magical moment that you create,
With your eyes still closed,
Think about the magic.
Again,
In.
Focus slowly on maybe a smile from your loved one,
The beauty of nature,
The comfort of a good book.
Continue to recognize those small moments that came through today of magic.
Those spaces that often go unnoticed and bring them to the surface,
Bring them to the forefront.
As you inhale,
Imagine that you're breathing in that essence of everyday magic.
Picture this magic filling your entire being,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes,
As it begins to invigorate and rejuvenate.
And as you exhale,
Settle into that intention to be more mindful of your everyday magic.
To commit to looking for it,
Acknowledging it,
And cherishing it.
To notice it right now,
Here,
As the breath is moving through you,
As magic is moving through you.
To find more joy and wonder in the daily.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Carry the sense of everyday magic with you as you go about your day.
Remember that magic is always present.
It's up to you to recognize it.
It's up to you to facilitate it.
Take a moment each day to find the enchantment in the ordinary,
And notice how magical it can be.
