It's okay if you wake up and feel disconnected from your heart.

It's okay if you wake up and feel as if your stomach has found its way hungrily,

Messily to the floor beneath you.

It's okay if you wake up and then squeeze your eyes shut for a little longer,

Hoping,

Wishing,

Praying that the day before you isn't as haunting,

Empty,

Rough,

Hopeless,

Confusing as it teases to be.

It's okay if you wake up and feel alone,

Alone in your mind,

Alone in your body,

Alone in your soul.

It's okay if you wake up and already wish that this moment,

This space and time was fast forwarded to a softer,

Kinder place.

It's okay.

It's okay.

It's okay.

This world is loud and all-consuming and demands every piece of ourselves at every corner,

Every turn.

Our experiences leading up to this point have shaped us,

Demanded that we change,

That we feel,

That we learn,

That we grow.

And sometimes,

Sometimes dear one,

That feels impossible to do just so.

I want you to know that in this breath,

That you,

As unsure as it may feel just now,

Are both loved and love.

You see the love that we find ourselves running so fast away from is in fact the love that we are.

When we run from the hurt and pain we feel has been inflicted by others,

We are actually running away from the most special heart of them all,

Ourselves.

If today the only thing you do is to take three deep,

Long,

Releasing breaths or clean your body,

Inhale the fresh air outside,

Reach out to a friend,

Have breakfast,

Get out of bed,

Then today let it be okay.

Let it be enough.

The world in its entirety can wait for you,

For you are worth every glimpse of sunshine that exists both within you and without you.

Today it's okay not to be brave.

Today it's okay to simply rest,

Surrender,

Be.

Repeat after me,

Either out loud or to yourself.

I am worthy of love.

I am worthy of growth.

I am worthy of freedom.

I am worthy of healing.

I am worthy of existing.

I am worthy of trying again.

I am worthy of taking up space.

I am worthy.

I am worthy.

I am worthy.

And I promise you wholeheartedly that you are.

Please be kind to yourself today.

Take it easy.

Take it slow.

And know that you are enough.
