Hey,
So I guess that you're awake,
Well that's okay,
Nothing has actually gone wrong,
Your body just came up for a moment,
Now you don't need to fix it,
You don't need to force sleep,
Just stay here and rest.
So,
Take a slow breath in,
And let it fall out softly,
Good,
Now again a slow inhale,
And then a longer exhale,
And that's it,
Now let your breathing go back to normal,
No control,
Just natural,
Your mind might already be thinking,
And well that's okay,
You don't need to stop it,
Let it drift,
Like background noise,
You're not following it,
You're just resting,
So now bring your attention to the feeling of your body,
The weight of it,
The weight of your shoulders,
The weight of your whole body,
Sinking into the bed,
Nothing to hold up,
Nothing to do,
Just support it,
Now notice your breath again,
In and out and now,
And with every breath out,
Let your body sink,
Just a little more,
No not forced,
Just natural,
Now imagine this,
You're floating just slightly,
Like your body is being held without effort,
See,
Still,
Quiet,
Nothing is pulling at you,
Nothing is expected,
Just drifting,
And if a thought comes in,
Well that's okay,
Just let it pass,
Like a sound far away,
You hear it,
But you don't follow it,
And slowly your mind begins to lose interest,
Lose interest in thinking,
Because there is nothing to solve,
There's nothing to figure out,
Everything can wait,
And right now your jaw is resting,
You're just drifting,
Now bring your attention to your eyes,
Heavy,
Resting and very still,
Your jaw is loose and very soft,
Your shoulders are dropping even more,
And your body sinking deeper,
Deeper and deeper now,
Good,
Now just stay here,
There's no effort,
There's no trying,
And if sleep comes,
Well it comes,
And if it doesn't yet,
Well that's okay too,
And without noticing when,
You'll drift further and further until you're gone,
Good night and namaste.
