Hello,
And welcome to this guided meditation for healing the wounded writer.
We are all born writers,
But we may have suffered wounding,
Losing access to our voice,
Losing access to the joy of writing that comes from within.
We may have received criticism,
Negativity,
Or ridicule from other people for our writing when it was still in its most vulnerable and raw form.
People might have criticized us because they received criticism and negativity too.
A teacher or an authority figure may have said something in passing that we have absorbed as if it were the truth.
Because writing is such a vulnerable form of self-expression and such a deep part of us,
We have taken those criticisms deeply in.
But we can reclaim our writing.
We can heal the wounded writer within.
If our writing has been abused,
Hurt,
Or belittled,
We can reclaim it,
Heal it,
And transform it.
We can do that right now.
Because writing is our birthright.
So relax and settle in.
You may choose to repeat these affirmations out loud,
After me,
Or silently in your head.
Or you may allow them to wash over you,
Knowing they will be powerfully absorbed into your subconscious mind.
Trust that these affirmations are true for you,
And that now is the time to take them in.
I am a writer.
Writing is my birthright.
I was born with the right to write.
I was born with the natural gift of creativity and self-expression.
Expressing my writing and my light through language is a gift that I have to give.
Expressing my writing and my light through language is a gift that I have been given.
Writing is one of the gifts of being human.
The writer within me is healing and transforming.
My writing is a gift that comes organically,
Without effort.
I trust the thoughts and the words that come.
My writing comes as naturally as breathing.
When I write,
I heal myself and others.
When I write,
I offer a gift to the world.
Writing is an inherent part of me.
I can write the truth about my life.
Writing the truth about my life is something I never have to justify or explain.
My writing is a vehicle for healing.
My story is personal and universal and has a powerful place in this world.
My writing is a creative force the world needs right now.
My writing is an integral thread of humanity.
When I write my life,
I write the world.
The only permission I need is my own.
No one can take my writing away from me.
Writing was always mine.
I am empowered to write.
I am empowered to tell my story.
Writing is my gift to the world.
When I heal my relationship with writing,
I heal my relationship with myself.
When I heal my relationship with myself,
I heal my relationship with writing.
I never need to apologize for writing something down.
My writing is a powerful expression of creativity.
My story offers hope and healing.
Writing my truth gives other people permission to write their truth too.
Writing isn't about creating pretty sentences,
It's about sharing my truth with the world.
I am a writer.
I release old beliefs about writing that no longer serve me.
I let go of the belief that writing causes pain.
I release judgment about my writing.
I release control and trust the process.
I am a writer.
There are people waiting for my story to be written.
There are people who will benefit from my story being told.
Writing is big enough to hold all of me,
All of my experiences,
And all of my feelings.
Writing is big enough to transform me.
Writing is about my expression,
Not my perfection.
My writing is cathartic and joyful,
Not painful and full of dread.
My writing flows through me with joy and ease.
I release control over my writing.
I trust the process.
I listen to the voice of my subconscious.
I allow writing to flow through me.
Writing makes me feel lighter.
Writing makes me feel better.
Writing brings me joy.
I trust the process.
Writing my story makes my life right.
Writing is inspiration,
Creativity,
Love,
And joy.
Writing is cathartic,
Healing,
And transformational.
I am a writer.
Dear Writer,
Now is the time.
Now is the time to release the critics that have lived in your head.
Now is the time to release the criticisms and lies that you have believed.
Now is the time to create your own muse and stop feeding those old monsters.
It is never too late to write your story.
It is never too late to start writing again.
The world needs your powerful story right now.
You are precious and beloved,
And the world needs your story.
You are a writer.
It is time to begin.
