Father God,
I come to you feeling anxious once again.
Worry and fear have weighed heavy on my mind lately,
And I'm finding it hard to see past all the what-ifs swirling in my mind.
I know you didn't intend for me to live this way,
Constantly doubting myself and my ability to handle what comes my way.
You created me to be strong,
To face each new day with courage and faith that you are in control.
So I ask that you help quiet the storms inside me.
I realize now that my worries stem from wanting so badly to control unexpected changes and outcomes,
When the truth is that control has always been yours.
Help me release this need to control,
And instead find peace in knowing that you see the bigger picture,
Even when it's unclear to me in this moment.
Give me wisdom to trust that your plan is better than any I could make for myself.
Fill me instead with your calming presence.
Let me feel the warmth of your light as it washes over my frazzled nerves and settles my racing heart.
Remind me through your still,
Small voice that you have never left my side,
Even in life's most turbulent times.
You carried me then,
And you carry me still.
With you as my constant companion,
What really is there for me to fear?
Give me courage today to step out in faith,
Leaving my worries at your feet.
I want to experience life fully again,
Without that heavy blanket of fear holding me back.
Show me how to look for all the beauty still around me,
Rather than magnifying the what-ifs.
May each new challenge be met not with dread,
But with resilient hope.
Hope in your goodness,
Your faithfulness,
Your power to take even hard things and use them for good.
Fill me with your strength so that I can stand up to each worry that tries creeping back in.
Remind me that you have overcome this world,
And nothing is too big or unknown for you to handle.
Help me reflect your peace and calm to others around me who also struggle.
May my life be a quiet testament to the reassurance of your ever-present love.
Thank you for hearing me and for all the ways I know you will keep working in me.
I choose to let go of fears hold and instead cling tightly to your unfailing hand.
You are my refuge and my true source of courage.
In your mighty and loving name I pray.
