A meditation to help with your heart.
Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.
Allow your hands to rest gently next to your body.
When ready,
Softly close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
Again breathe in deeply and slowly let the breath go.
One more time,
Breathing in ease and breathing out any tension.
Now allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm.
There is nothing you need to force,
Nothing you need to fix in this moment.
Just be here.
Bring your awareness to the centre of your chest,
The space around your heart.
Simply notice what is there.
You do not need to judge it,
You do not need to name it,
Just notice.
If there is heaviness,
Let it be seen.
If there is sadness,
Fear,
Grief,
Disappointment,
Anger or numbness,
Let it be acknowledged.
Whatever has been quietly living in your heart,
This is a space to witness it.
Take a breath into your heart space.
As you exhale,
Imagine you are creating more room there,
More softness,
More compassion,
More permission.
Now silently say to yourself,
I am willing to release what no longer serves my heart.
I am willing to let go of old pain,
Old stories and old protection that I no longer need.
I honour what these feelings came to teach me and I release them with love.
With each breath out,
Imagine anything blocking your heart beginning to loosen.
It may appear as heaviness,
Tightness,
A wall,
A colour,
A fog or a weight.
There is no right way to experience this.
Just allow your body and inner wisdom to show you.
As you exhale,
Imagine this blockage gently dissolving.
No force,
No struggle,
Just release.
Breathing out fear.
Breathing out hurt.
Breathing out resentment.
Breathing out grief.
Breathing out the belief that you are not enough.
Let each exhale clear and cleanse the heart space a little more.
Now imagine a warm healing light beginning to glow in the centre of your chest.
This light is soft,
Loving and safe.
It grows brighter with every inhale.
As your heart opens,
Begin inviting in the feelings that align you with your true self.
Breathe in love.
Breathe in peace.
Breathe in compassion.
Breathe in forgiveness.
Breathe in trust.
Breathe in joy.
Breathe in clarity.
Breathe in worthiness.
Let these feelings fill every corner of your heart space.
Let them spread through your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your throat,
Your belly,
Your entire body.
Silently repeat,
My heart is open and safe.
I release what weighs me down.
I welcome love,
Peace and emotional freedom.
I am aligned with my truth.
I am worthy of giving and receiving love.
I choose softness.
I choose trust.
I choose to live from my heart.
Take a few moments here just to breathe and receive.
Allow your body to absorb these feelings fully.
Allow alignment to settle into you naturally.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your body.
Notice the space you have created within.
Place one or both hands over your heart if that feels comfortable.
Offer yourself gratitude for showing up,
For feeling,
For releasing,
For healing.
Take one deep breath in and a full breath out.
When you are ready,
Gently begin to return to the room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and softly open your eyes.
Carry this openness with you.
Carry this light with you.
Carry this love with you.
