Heart Sutra With Japanese Drum (Mokugyo) | Hannya Shingyo

Heart Sutra or Hannya Shingyo is a Zen chant that contains the core of the Buddha's teaching. This translation and style of chanting/recitation are common in Zen Buddhist monasteries across Japan. This version is the fast-chanted version guided by the Japanese Sutra Drum (Mokugyo). It is a one-take recording (as it should be).
