What is love?
We speak about love as if it's a thing to be acquired,
A thing to be earned,
A thing we must muster,
A thing we can withhold,
Use as leverage,
Or something we might run out of.
We speak of it as if it is a measure of our worthiness and how much we deserve to be cherished.
But love is none of those things.
Its essence is not transactional.
It's not something to be bestowed,
But freely given.
It is not owned by anyone,
But it is the tendril that binds us all.
It doesn't need to be earned,
Because love is unconditional.
It doesn't need to be won,
Because love just is.
It is bold and fearless and teeming with bounty.
It is creative and silly and playful.
It is the most trusting part of ourselves.
Love is endless,
And there will always be enough for everyone.
We just need to remain still and welcome it in,
Like a good friend for a warm cup of tea Love is a frequency.
It is the first setting that our physical form is set to.
It is our original state.
We are here to love,
To share it,
Project it,
Protect it,
And trust in the opening to receive it.
To let it in like a warm summer breeze,
Filling our lives with an endless stream of miracles.
Love is a way of seeing the world.
Love is a way of being.
Love is giving.
Love is allowing yourself to receive.
Love is knowing that you are worthy of all that fills you with light and laughter.
It is the beginning of all things,
And it is all there is.
Love is you.
It is your birthright.
We are born as pure love,
Unmarred by circumstances or the lack of others' ability to see love in themselves.
Our first cry as we slide into this world is one of love.
It says,
I am whole,
I am here,
And I am ready for the journey.
But as we grow and look to others to mirror our natural frequency of love,
We sometimes encounter those that cannot see,
Feel,
Or know love for themselves.
Perhaps they were never loved,
And the flame in their heart that was theirs to always claim was extinguished.
We begin to question our own ability to love,
Or that we are truly unconditionally lovable.
Never,
Ever feel that way,
For you are so deeply loved by all that is and will ever be.
You are love incarnate.
So now,
As we sit together in this circle of love that is held in the ether,
Let's focus on the breath,
Letting it move in and out of the body of its own accord,
Its own pace,
Finding its own rhythm,
Tuning into your heart center,
The sacred space where love resides.
A flame glows within,
It flickers unabated,
Burning in an endless continuum,
Sometimes hidden but inextinguishable.
Connect,
Now as we sit together,
With a memory of a person that fills your entire being with love.
Feel it run through you,
Flooding all the rivers that run wild through your interior.
Feel the flame rise like a bonfire in your heart center.
Feel it as an actual sensation in the body,
And when you're ready,
Let that warming,
That rising heat that love creates,
Let it ripple out and fill your entire being with the warming sensation of love.
Your belly,
Your sits bones,
Your legs,
Arms,
Your throat,
And up through your spine to the top of your head.
Feel your entire being warm with this love.
Remember this feeling.
This is your natural frequency,
This is your original state.
The one that has been obscured by others fear,
Or unwillingness,
Or conditioning to no longer let love in.
Feel this love as being as natural and organic to you as breathing.
Let it extend past your borders and edges,
Letting it hover an inch outside the boundaries of your physical body.
And then,
Take it a few inches further.
Then a foot outside your edges.
And now,
Fill the entire space you sit in with the warmth of your love,
With the realization that you are more than your borders.
Extend this love to the town you live in,
To your country,
And then feel it wrap around the entire world.
Now go beyond that,
To all that is.
Feeling its spaciousness,
How it is limitless.
And as you experience this vastness,
Become aware that the enormity of this boundless love is emanating from your heart center.
Feel the connection and power in that,
The certainty,
The knowing that you are indeed love.
Feel yourself surrounding everyone you know with it.
Everyone you don't know.
Even those you have hurt,
And those that have hurt you.
Connecting with the enormity of this channel that emanates from your heart,
The breadth of space that it occupies.
Know that your ability to project love is only matched by your enormous capacity to receive it.
Become conscious of the reality that this open channel you have created works both ways in reciprocity.
You are a vortex for love,
Magnetizing enormous love to you in all its many phases.
The sweet love of childhood,
The steady rooted love of friendship,
And the tender soulful love of passion.
Envision the type of love you are in need of at this very moment.
Who is the person that stands before you?
What does this love look like?
What does it feel like?
What words are given and received?
What else does it bring you?
And as you open a path for it to enter,
Let it flicker in the flame that is your heart,
The light that will lead this love home.
As we move through our daily lives,
We send out an energetic signature.
This is our honing beacon.
And what you project will always return to you in the form of experience on the physical plane.
It has no choice but to lay itself divinely at your feet.
The frequency we were born with.
Our first energy signature is love.
And just as the seas rise to meet the harvest moon,
The flame of love that we carry in our hearts can rise to meet the moment.
Just sit quietly now and feel the flame.
A flame that is a beacon for love that you are so worthy of,
That is making its way to you.
