Welcome to this Rainy Mood Relaxation and Reflection Meditation.
Together we're going to cultivate that special mood and vibe that you can only really catch on a gentle rainy day.
Start off by getting into a comfortable position,
Sitting up or laying back,
And letting your body gently fall and land into an effortlessly relaxed arrangement.
Allow your breath to wash a little bit deeper in towards you so that you can let it out a little bit longer on the exhale.
Don't rush your breath,
Just start to guide it to be a little bit fuller and a little bit longer on the exhale,
Super easily and effortlessly.
Allow that gentle guiding to start to carry into the entirety of this session as you nudge your consciousness through these rain-soaked canals and pathways.
And with the eyes closed and the body still and the breath flowing,
Start to notice the feeling in your chest.
Notice the sensation directly in this moment.
In your chest and heart area,
Without judgment,
Just observe.
Notice any closure or tension,
However subtle it might be,
And just allow it to be and allow it to melt at whatever pace that it does as you rest the attention here at the heart with the breath for a moment.
Allow it to start to open and soften and feel yourself planting this seed of energetic softness in your heart in this moment.
The sensation of melting and opening,
Beginning at the blooming of your heart,
Just a little bit or a lot,
Whatever feels right to you in this moment.
And feel the energy in your legs and feet running back and forth like two rivers of fluid energy.
Feel the tension in the legs and feet that maybe you didn't even notice was there,
Starting to release and relax.
And allow it to wash up into the back now as you feel the muscles and tendrils of the back starting to unwind and fan out like a pair of wings that act as an umbrella to protect you from the rain.
And start to hear the sounds of the rain now,
Delicately washing and dropping and dancing.
Start to let in those sounds,
Let the seemingly chaotic nature of the raindrops harmonize together and begin to soothe your nervous system as you listen deeply and breathe them in gently.
And as you listen to the raindrops,
Start to imagine as if you are a raindrop,
As funny as it might sound,
Let go of your separate sense of self and simply imagine and sense the sensation of becoming a single flowing drop of rain.
Notice what direction and pattern your raindrop wants to flow in,
Let it flow,
Flow with it,
Observe it,
Feel it,
Feel all your raindrop companions surrounding you,
Maybe wave to them in your mind's eye,
Thanking them for the company as you wash down and through together,
Rejuvenating and soothing the earth.
And now imagine as if the simple sound of you gently falling on a windowpane could soothe the nervous system of a human being and feel yourself re-emerging in the awareness of your human body being soothed by your raindrop self.
If it feels good to you,
Imagine yourself cozying up by a fireplace with a comforting book in your hand,
Feeling the texture of the pages on your fingers and the soothing sounds of the pages turning,
The fire crackling,
The simplicity of the moment becoming one with your awareness.
Feel the stillness that lies within this perfect carefree moment and feel yourself entering the depth of the now of all the textures,
Details,
And richness of the moment.
Start to embrace that feeling of a perfect relaxing rainy day where time seems to stretch on in an endlessly pleasant way and you give yourself permission to relax,
To let your mind float,
To allow your creative imagination to play,
And to give yourself space to deeply recover,
Recharge,
And restore your spiritual and emotional batteries.
Allow yourself to explore the interior of your experience now for as long as you please.
In this rainy blissful space that you've cultivated.
