This meditation is designed to move your mind away from the problem personally and collectively.
Away from what you don't want,
What's not good enough,
And fears of the future.
This visioning meditation allows you to cultivate and dream into a personal and collective story that is hopeful,
Nourishing,
Powerful,
And supportive to all.
Without a clear vision,
We get lost.
And with clarity,
We know our purpose.
So sit or lie down comfortably.
You can put your hand on your heart or your belly if that feels good.
Just close your eyes,
Pulling your attention from the outside to your inner landscape,
Noticing the quality of your breathing.
Beginning to deepen your inhale,
Expanding your belly,
Breathing up into your collarbones.
And on the exhale,
Letting go,
Allowing the little muscles of your face and neck to let go.
Inhaling oxygen into your belly,
Up into your chest.
And on the exhale,
Releasing,
Noticing the places where your body is touching the chair or the couch.
And just making contact with those places,
Allowing gravity to hold you as you let your body get heavier to drop into being held.
Inhaling,
Quieting your mind.
Exhaling,
Opening your body.
Quieting your mind,
Opening your body.
Bringing your awareness down from gravity,
Down,
Down into the earth.
Into the living soil,
The little critters in the soil,
The dark humus,
The organic material.
Through the mineral-rich crust,
Through the mantle,
Into the core of the earth,
The dense center,
The crystalline center of iron.
And as you breathe,
Breathing in the earth into your body,
Through your body,
So that you are syncing your breath with the slow rhythms of the earth,
Of the soil,
Of the ocean,
Slow and rhythmical.
And now from the midpoint of your head,
From the top of your head,
Connect up,
Up to the sky,
Through the clouds,
To the luminous stars and constellations,
Into the ether,
The silence,
The stillness,
And the light,
The light of the moon and sun,
Activating your being.
As you're breathing,
Noticing how you are held between these two,
The deep earth and the sky above.
Now imagine in front of you a curtain,
And just notice the color of the curtain.
And in a moment,
You will be discovering what is behind this curtain.
Behind this curtain,
You're going to find a regenerated earth,
A healthy,
Vibrant earth.
So take a step forward,
And when you're ready,
Pull back the curtain and step across the threshold into this place,
This regenerated earth.
Look around.
What do you see?
What is the landscape that you're in?
The colors?
What's growing in this place?
Are there gardens?
Homes?
Are there other humans or non-human beings?
What does this place look like?
Just explore it above and behind and all around you.
Opening your ears,
What do you hear?
Is there bird song?
Music?
Water or forest sounds?
Insects buzzing?
Or is there silence?
Taking a deep breath in,
What do you smell in this place?
Are there any scents of soil,
Plants,
Salt water?
Or reach down and pick a flower and smell it.
What does this place feel like?
What's the temperature on your skin?
Is there sunlight or cool shade?
What does this whole place feel like in your body?
How do you breathe?
How is your posture?
Are you joyful?
Excited?
Do you feel peaceful?
Now allow yourself to zoom out so that you can see your place in all of this.
Your place in this community.
Notice how you are participating.
Do you have a role?
What do you do here?
Is there something you love?
Is there a skill you are sharing or a gift you are expressing?
Notice your role and your purpose in this community,
In this place.
Stay with this for a moment.
And when you're ready,
Bring gratitude into your heart,
Allowing all little fears to melt away so that you are just connected to gratitude and love in your heart center.
And send this out as you align your being now to this vision,
To this place.
And before you walk back to the curtain to leave,
Know that you can always come back.
That this place is always available to you.
And that the more you vision it,
The stronger it becomes until you can dream it into a reality.
Walking back to the curtain and stepping across,
Coming back into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Moving your body in any way that it wants to be moved.
And when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Thank you.
