Welcome to this healing childhood meditation.
Today we will explore and heal past experiences from your childhood that may have left emotional wounds.
This meditation will help you to reconnect with your inner child,
Offering them the love,
Care and understanding they needed then and still need now.
Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Holding it for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Allow yourself to settle into this space,
Releasing any tension or stress as you breathe out.
Let's start by bringing our focus to the breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing without trying to change it.
Feel the air as it enters your nostrils,
Fills your lungs and unleashes your body,
Carrying away any tension.
As you inhale,
Imagine drawing in calm and soothing energy.
As you exhale,
Release any stress,
Anxiety or worries.
Let your breath guide you into the state of relaxation and openness,
Preparing you to gently explore your inner world.
Now take a moment to relax your body completely.
Starting at the top of your head,
Bring your awareness to your scalp and notice any area of tension.
As you exhale,
Imagine this tension melding away.
Slowly move your attention down to your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheek and your jaw.
Allow each area to soften and relax,
Releasing any tightness.
Bring your focus to your neck and shoulders,
Letting them drop and release any burdens you may be carrying.
Move your attention down to your arms,
Hands and fingers,
Feeling them become heavy and relaxed.
Now bring your awareness to your chest and abdomen.
Notice the rise and fall of your breath and with each exhale,
Release any tightness or discomfort.
Finally,
Focus on your legs,
Feet and toes.
Feel them grounding you to the earth and allow yourself to feel supported,
Stable and deeply relaxed.
With your body now fully relaxed,
We will begin the process of connecting with your inner child,
The part of you that still holds the memories,
Feelings and experiences from your childhood.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a place where you felt safe and happy as a child.
This could be a real place or a place that exists in your imagination only.
Picture this place in vivid details,
Noticing the colors,
The sounds,
The smells and the feeling that arise as you immerse yourself in the space.
As you settle into this place,
Imagine that you see your younger self,
That child you once were,
Coming into view.
See this child clearly,
Noticing their appearance,
Their expression and their energy.
This is your inner child,
Carrying all the experiences,
Emotions and needs that were present during your childhood.
Take a moment to approach your inner child with kindness and compassion.
Sit with them and let them know that you are here to listen,
To understand and to offer love and healing.
If it feels right,
You can place a hand on your heart,
Symbolizing the connection between you and your inner child.
Now,
Allow your inner child to express anything they need to,
Whether it's through words,
Feelings or images.
Be present with whatever arises,
Offering them the support and understanding they may not have received at the time.
As your inner child expresses themselves,
Offer them the love,
Reassurance and safety they need.
Let them know that they are not alone and that you are here to protect and care for them.
Imagine wrapping them a warm,
Comforting embrace,
Surrounding them with unconditional love and acceptance.
Now that you have connected with your inner child,
It's time to begin the process of healing and releasing the emotional wounds they carry.
Imagine a warm,
Gentle light surrounding both you and your inner child.
This light is filled with healing energy and it begins to flow into both of you,
Soothing and dissolving any pain,
Fear or sadness.
As this healing light flows through you,
Imagine it washing away any negative emotions or loneliness.
As this healing light flows through you,
Imagine it washing away any negative emotions or limiting beliefs that have been holding you back.
See these feelings being absorbed by the light,
Transforming into peace,
Love and understanding.
Allow yourself to release any blame,
Guilt or anger that may have been attached to these childhood experiences.
As you let go,
Feel the weight being lifted from you and your inner child,
Replaced with a sense of freedom and peace.
To reinforce this healing,
Let's repeat some affirmations.
This can be said silently in your mind or out loud.
I am worthy of love and healing.
My inner child is safe,
Loved and protected.
My inner child is safe,
Loved and protected.
I release the past and embrace the present with love.
I forgive myself and others for any pain caused.
I am whole,
Healed and at peace.
As you say these affirmations,
Feel the truth resonating with you,
Deepening the healing process.
We will now spend a few moments in silence,
Allowing the healing energy to integrate fully into your being.
Focus on your breath,
Or the comforting presence of your inner child.
If your minds begin to wander,
Gently bring them back to this peaceful,
Healing space.
As we come to the end of our meditation,
Take a few deep breaths.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment,
To your surroundings.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Gently reawakening your body.
Know that the connection with your inner child is always with you and you can return to this healing space whenever you need.
When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Calm,
Centered and more connected with yourself.
