In mythology, Saturn - known to the Greeks as Chronos - was the difficult father of the 12 gods of Olympus. Chronos mercilessly swallowed all of his children because of a prophecy that one of his children would dethrone him. It was Zeus for the Greeks and Jupiter for the Romans.
