Take a deep breath,
Consciously connecting with the body.
Spread the fingers and toes,
Reaching energy out into the world.
Take this moment to honor the earth with gratitude for a new day.
Inhale,
Bundle up all of yesterday's lingering thoughts and emotions.
As you exhale,
Placing this package aside,
It is no longer needed.
Inhale,
Bringing fresh energy to the senses.
Exhale,
Letting the night of sleep.
Inhale,
Letting the deep slip away.
Inhale,
Feel into your body,
Accepting however it may be right now.
Expanding the breath like a balloon into any areas that feel tight.
Exhale slowly.
Inhale,
Move your breath upward into the space behind your eyes,
Observing the mind's energy today.
Exhale slowly.
Settle into this breath,
Illuminating your spirit.
With each breath,
Repeating these mantras.
I am as radiant as the sun,
Bright,
Warm,
Lighting the way.
