A parable is a statement of simple truth which by analogy or symbolical extention reveals a greater and a more universal truth. In this parable, the poet, ordinary clay, fragrance, and the rose are allegories open to interpretations and inviting your mind to a consideration of virtue, responsibility, goodness, service, beauty and unity with one's own divine nature.

A poet was given a bit of ordinary clay.

The clay had such vibrant,

Sweet perfume that its fragrance filled his room.

What are you?

Musk or Ambergris?

The poet asked.

I am neither.

The clay answered.

I am just a bit of common clay.

From where then you have this rare perfume?

The poet was curious.

The clay replied.

I have been all summer in the company of the Tyleroos.
