Welcome to this daily self-care practice where we're going to be combining some lovely EFT tapping with a self-love hug for compassion and this is really going to help bring yourself some comfort,
Soften those kind of doubts that come up and remind yourself that you are on your own side.
All right so make yourself nice and comfortable where you're sitting and then tapping on the side of the hand remember you're repeating after me either in your mind or out loud.
Even though I'm sometimes hard on myself.
We all do that.
I choose to treat myself with kindness today.
Even though I often doubt myself or expect too much of myself.
I acknowledge that.
I'm doing my best.
And I'm willing to offer myself some comfort.
Even though it's easy to give compassion to others and forget about me.
I choose to open my heart to my own care and support.
And I deeply and completely love and accept myself just as I am in this moment.
Lovely,
Well done and then tapping on the eyebrow points.
I notice the self-criticism or pressure that I've been carrying.
Side of the eye.
But maybe I don't need to be perfect to deserve kindness and care.
Under the eye.
What if I could stop fighting with myself?
And choose to be on my own side.
Under the nose.
Maybe I can let my guard down.
And treat myself like a friend.
Tapping on the chin points.
Softening all the pressure that I've been putting on myself.
Just letting go of a little bit of that pressure.
Collarbone,
I offer myself the same love,
Warmth and support I so freely give to others.
Okay,
Well done.
So we're going to do a self-love hug now.
So just bring your arms across your chest.
You can place your hands on your shoulders or your upper arms for this lovely self-love hug.
You might like to close your eyes or soften your gaze.
With your fingertips you might like to just gently tap on the upper arm.
You can also kind of rub softly up and down or just give yourself a nice squeeze as we gently pause here for a moment.
So really feeling the comfort of your own touch.
It's almost like you're contained in the safety and support of your own hands and arms.
Notice how you're supporting yourself,
Really loving yourself.
With this self-love hug.
And this is such a lovely thing to do because it really signals to your nervous system that you're okay,
That you're safe.
It also triggers the release of oxytocin which is the love hormone or cuddle chemical.
And it can lower stress hormones like cortisol as well.
So really just feeling into that hug,
Breathing into your heart.
Letting your body know that you're here for yourself.
You're supporting yourself.
You don't have to earn this care and support,
It's always right here available to you.
So feel that warmth and support really spread through your whole body.
Knowing that you're completely accepted.
You're enough and you are worthy just the way you are.
Lovely,
Okay and then just unwrap your arms.
We're going to return to tapping under the arm.
I welcome comfort,
Ease and self-compassion today.
And then top of the head.
Honouring that I am worthy of my own love and kindness.
I am worthy.
Lovely,
So stop tapping there,
Place your hands on your heart centre or go back to that lovely self-love hug.
Take a breath in.
And slowly exhale.
Just taking a moment to notice how you feel.
Really letting all that warmth and support settle into your heart.
All that compassion and care.
Just remember to say that whenever that self-doubt or pressure creeps in,
You can always give yourself one of these lovely self-love hugs again.
Remind yourself that you're safe,
You're supported and that you're doing just fine.
Thank you so much for tapping with me.
Take care and be kind to yourself today.
Bye.
