I invite you to rest deeply into this DreamSong Yoga Nidra. Find a comfortable place to lie down, be warm and cosy, maybe with something covering your eyes, and let go into full relaxation and rejuvenation. My Nidra sessions always include a healing song (or songs) for you to receive into your heart. Most of these songs are improvised at the moment.

So welcome,

A deep heartfelt welcome to every part of you.

Every part of your being,

All the layers of yourself welcoming you onto this little patch of sacred earth that you rest on.

Really allowing the body to be received by the arms of your mother.

Letting your body rest in full and complete welcome here at this time where there is nothing to do,

Nowhere to go,

Nowhere to be,

Just to be present here.

So allowing yourself to really settle.

You are an autumn leaf falling to the ground,

Sinking into the earth.

The deep smell of the autumn earth receiving you,

Receiving your full body,

Your full weight.

All the heaviness that you can be is weightless for the mother to draw you in and wrap you up in an autumn nest.

So with every out breath allowing your body to settle deeper and deeper into the earth.

Knowing that I am keeping watch,

My eyes are open so that you can fully surrender if you wish to into the darkness of your closed eyelids.

So that you know you are held in a safe circle here in this moment.

Receiving any sounds that you might hear outside of this room,

The sound of the elements,

Or inside of this room,

Receiving the sound of my voice,

Not needing to pay attention to exactly what I am saying,

Just in a very relaxed way receiving the sound of my voice,

Opening and welcoming everything that is here in this moment.

Also receiving with a sweet welcome any sounds inside your body that might already be inside your ears or in your breath or in your heartbeat.

Welcoming all that is,

Welcoming the gentle and settled life of your miracle body.

Open to receive,

Welcoming.

And beginning to listen to the resonance of your body,

Listening in to the vibrations of your body,

Perhaps the song of your cells,

Of your bones,

Bringing your listening attention to your eyebrow centre,

Listening in to the song of your eyebrow centre.

Now listening to the resonance of your throat and moving over with a sweet welcome and a sweet listening to your right shoulder and the inside of your right elbow.

Listening with curiosity to the song settled in the inside of your right wrist and the five little songs resonating on your right thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger and your little finger.

Listening deeply to the resonance of the front of your right shoulder and back to the song settled in your throat.

Deep listening to the song of your left shoulder and the inside of your left elbow,

The song at your wrist and the little chimes of your left thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger and your little finger.

And listening again to the song on your left wrist and your left elbow,

The front of your left shoulder and listening again to the songbird nesting in your throat.

Listening deeply to the heart resonance of the song at the centre of your breastbone.

Listening to the beauty in your left breast,

Again to the centre of your breastbone and your right breast.

Returning to the heart resonance of your breastbone and moving to the deep ancestral song in your navel.

The sweet song of your pubic bone,

Your right hip bone,

The resonance of your knee and the song at your ankle.

Listening to the chimes of your right big toe,

Your second toe,

Your third toe and your fourth toe and fifth toe.

Listening again to your right ankle,

Your right knee,

Your hip and again to your pubic bone.

Listening to that unique song of your left hip,

Your left knee,

Left ankle and listening to the chimes of song in your left big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe and your fifth toe.

Tuning in to the resonance in your left ankle,

Your left knee,

Left hip,

Pubic bone and the deep ancestral calling of your navel.

Returning to the heart wisdom in the song of the centre of your breastbone and the bird sweetly nestled in the nest at your throat.

Listening deeply to the clear bell of your eyebrow centre,

Ringing a sweet clarity that spreads through your whole being.

Resting in the song of your whole body,

The resonance that emanates the clarity of your soul through every cell.

A deep resonance of belonging,

Of love,

A deep resonance of the song of truth that you are.

Listening to the orchestra of sound that you are,

The symphony of song that your soul is singing full of joy and resting in the silent stillness of the clear waters of your being.

Crystal clear,

Still and silent.

Breathing in the jewel of that silence and as you breathe in on your inhale feeling that song like a flock of birds rise up through you singing the joy to be alive.

A symphony of unique cells resonating and on the exhale dropping into the waters of crystal clear silence and stillness.

Again on the inhale allowing the song of your soul to rise up filling your body with the life of music and again on the exhale dropping into the deep waters of the stillness and silence of your soul.

Breathing into song and exhaling into stillness.

Inhaling into beautiful harmony and exhaling into the quiet stillness of your being.

Now how would it be if you could be in the orchestra of music and simultaneously in the depth of the stillness and silence filled with the resonance of the song of your soul and at the same time deeply still and deeply silent both full and both empty at the same time both ringing with the song of life and both deeply settled in the centre of silence.

How would it be for you to be in both of those places at the same time?

Resting there.

All right.

I am the centre of peace I let go that does not serve me I am at the centre of peace All that I am is welcome here I am an unfolding flower I am the wisdom of the earth And I am all that I am I am at peace I am the rose I am sweet And I am one of those I am all that is And I am nothing I am silence And I am the world singing I am welcome here I am settling I am silence And I am life singing And from the song at the centre of the rose at the centre of the middle of your breast bone your deep heart space the core of your song breathing life into that rose breathing fresh breeze into the centre of the middle of your heart feeling the breath fill the body noticing the sound of my voice noticing any sounds of the elements trees the wind storm brewing outside noticing again beautiful firmness of the ground beneath you holding you noticing any smells in the room just coming gently into this glorious body another sweet welcome of your full presence gently coming back into the body so beginning to welcome any kind of wriggling maybe your fingers or your toes might just begin to find a little song of their own a little wriggly song there might be a croaky frog song in your throat or a yawn song that comes gently into the chest a breath wind song that fills your belly as you let the breath deepen really inviting breath to deepen the body again just giving yourself a little stretch if you can manage one taking your time to fill this glorious body with the song of life of breath if there is a sigh in there if there's a yawn in there if there's a wriggly song of the toes if there's a squeaky song of the knees if there's a flowing song of the hips just welcoming that movement the miracle of being born again you might want to just make a little mmm beautiful so coming to the end of our practice so you might want to give yourself a little hug a little squeeze a little self nurturing stroke your Kashmir bringing yourself gently back into the flower that you are this practice of yoga nidra is complete thank you so much for listening
