Hello,
I'm Steph Burke and thank you so much for joining me for today's meditation.
Today's meditation is focused on deep grounding and trust.
Trust so that we may free ourselves to become that which our heart desires.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable way to be in the body where the body feels wholly and completely supported by whatever is below it.
And let's invite the body to settle,
To soften,
To loosen.
Let's see if you can notice what happens in your body as you invite it to rest.
Does your body respond quickly to the invitation to soften?
Are there areas in the body that require a little more encouragement?
Do we notice a place in the body that's holding on,
That's resisting softening?
Can we offer it a breath?
Perhaps we offer it our soft,
Gentle words,
It's okay.
It's okay to let go.
To relax.
It's okay to release whatever it is that we're holding onto in this moment,
Just for now.
Setting down our stressors,
Placing them on the earth.
So we may share the burden.
Our stress is not ours alone to carry.
And sometimes it takes slowing down,
Getting still,
To remember.
Remember that just as we hold what comes to us,
We are also held.
That which holds us holds what is given to us,
Therefore we are held.
We are safe.
Our strength comes not just from what we can muster with our own bodies,
But from what lies beneath us.
The strength of the earth.
I'd invite you to see if you can notice in your body that strength.
Strength,
Stability,
Balance,
All that is offered to us through the earth.
We might become aware of gravity and remind ourselves of this gentle force.
Gravity can feel like a magnetic pull.
A warm hug pulling us gently toward the safety and strength of the earth.
And what if you were to walk through the earth with this knowing in your body at all times?
What if you could simply pause and call on the energy of earth for strength and stability throughout the day?
What might look different for you if you knew just how safe and held you were in all aspects of your life?
Knowing that you're safe and held,
What would you do differently?
If you knew that every time you took a leap,
A chance that the earth would be there to catch you,
How would that feel?
Is there a chance you would take?
I'd invite you to bring to mind something that the heart wants.
Perhaps it's something that the heart has been asking for for a long time and for whatever reason,
We've been unable to act on it.
Let's bring whatever that is into mind.
Perhaps holding that idea out in front of us and surrounding it in golden light.
What if I remembered that the earth will always catch me?
What if I knew deep down in my bones that I am safe and protected?
What could I allow myself to become simply by believing that it's possible and trusting that I am safe on the earth?
Let's take a deep breath into the body,
Filling all the way down to the belly.
And breathing out with gratitude for this moment,
For clarity,
And for peace.
May you be well.
