Welcome to this grounding meditation,
Designed to help you reconnect with the present moment and find a sense of stability and balance.
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes and take a moment to settle into your space.
Let's begin.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Allowing your lungs to fill with fresh air.
Hold the breath for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Continue this deep breathing,
Focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
Inhale for a count of four,
Hold for a count of four and exhale for a count of four.
Now pay attention to your senses.
What do you hear?
Is there a gentle breeze,
The sound of birds or the rustling of leaves?
Listen without judgment,
Simply experiencing the world around you.
What do you feel?
The texture of the ground beneath you,
The temperature of the air or any sensations in your body?
Acknowledge these sensations without attachment.
Return your focus to your breath.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing in the earth's grounding energy and with each exhale,
Releasing any stress or worries.
Imagine any distractions or negative thoughts as leaves on a stream,
Gently floating away.
Now,
Bring your attention to your physical body.
Start with your feet.
Feel the sensation of your feet on the ground,
Whether you're sitting or standing.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Anchoring you to the earth's core.
Feel the stability and support beneath you.
Now imagine a beautiful golden light flowing up from the earth through your roots and into your body.
This light is warm,
Comforting and grounding.
As it moves through you,
It clears away any tension,
Anxiety or negativity,
Leaving you feeling more centered and balanced.
Repeat a grounding affirmation in your mind such as,
I am rooted,
I am stable and I am balanced,
Or I trust in the support of the earth beneath me.
Feel the truth of these words as you say them to yourself.
Take a moment to express gratitude for the earth that supports and sustains us.
Reflect on the beauty and abundance it provides.
Send your gratitude out into the world with each breath.
Now focus on the breath,
Breathing in,
Right into the belly,
And breathing out through the mouth.
And once again,
Breathing in through the nose,
And breathing out through the mouth,
Letting everything go.
When you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back into the room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Grounded,
Centered and balanced.
Remember that you can return to this grounding meditation whenever you need to reconnect with the present moment and find stability in your life.
Carry this sense of grounding with you as you go about your day,
Knowing that you are supported by the earth's energy.
May you carry this sense of balance and stability with you on your journey.
