Okay everyone.
This recording is for you.
To use as you require.
To tap into that deepest part of who you are.
It's the part of you.
That I like to refer to as my inner being.
This is the most authentic part of who I am.
It's the part of me.
That feels that I can be.
Connected.
And still in this world.
All at once.
So the way I get there,
To start,
No matter where I am.
Or how I am.
Is through the breath.
So however you are,
Being comfortable as possible.
Making sure that you are not disturbed for the next 10 to 15 minutes.
And just allowing yourself this time.
To reconnect in.
To your inner being.
I am your guide.
You are the master of this session.
So in a few moments.
.
.
We're going to start taking some breaths.
If at any moment this doesn't feel right for you.
Take a break.
Notice what's happening for you and tend to yourself how you need.
You know.
What is best for you.
So here we go.
Taking a nice deep breath in if you can through the nose.
And release through the mouth.
All we're trying to do here.
As extend the exhale.
Even if for one second more than you typically do.
So take the next breath in if you can,
Through the nose if not.
Through the mouth.
All the way in.
Down to the bottom of the lungs filling up the chest and the belly and release with the exhale.
However you wish.
One last time.
All on your own timing.
Nice deep breath in.
.
.
And release however you wish when you are ready.
Allowing the shoulders to drop and the body to soften as you exhale.
Remembering that the breath is still.
Is teaching us to bring in what it is you need more of in your life.
On the inhale.
And on the exhale,
It is simply a release of what no longer serves.
Only you know what those things are and sometimes all you need is the intention.
We don't have to have specifics every time.
So simply drawing our attention in.
All we are doing.
As a good friend of mine often says,
Meditation is not perfection,
It is a practice.
So all we are doing as drawing the attention in.
And gathering the mind in toward the center.
And sometimes,
Like cats trying to herd them,
They can't.
Wander off,
And the mind can be good at that at times,
And that is okay.
Give it some compassion and notice.
That a big part of this practice is gathering the mind,
Noticing when it has wandered and lovingly.
Patiently.
Tenderly drawing it back toward your center.
And where might that be for you today?
It's somewhere different for me every time.
As we draw our focus in.
And allow the outside world to continue on without us for the next little bit.
You and I are going to find the center of the universe.
That works for us today.
Finding it with the inhale.
Drawing towards the middle of the chest perhaps or between the eyes or perhaps into the seat,
The seat of the belly.
Or however your chair or structure beneath you is supporting you.
Noticing where your center is now.
And breathe into that space.
And release.
Release the breath there.
Release the effort.
Release the heaviness Release of the tightness.
Simply let it go.
The simply.
Return to that center.
And allow yourself.
To settle in.
Just as you would in a comfy little bed.
Or a cocoon.
Snuggling in.
To your center.
With the mind.
And with the body.
Feeling at home here.
Your body is your haven.
This is your home.
It isn't your fault.
Place.
To feel.
Holding your centre.
A vehicle for your soul to drive around in all day from the moment you came into this world.
Until the day you depart.
Taking you on adventure.
After adventure.
Experiencing the world.
With all five senses.
All the emotions,
Perhaps even stories made up along the way of how the world might work.
All part of this giant play called life.
But never forgetting.
The most important part of who you are.
The being at the center.
The center of your breath.
The center of your heart.
The center of your being.
That's the part that gives you direction.
Innately knows which way to pull you and sometimes push you.
Forward on your path.
In the most uplifting way possible.
This is your inner being.
It's quiet.
Patient.
Loving.
And forever calm.
That's where we come back to for balance.
To remember who you are.
And your purpose in this life.
Experiencing everything with you.
Along the way.
I'll give you just a moment here.
Is beautiful.
Inner being within.
Take your time.
Notice how you feel.
Body.
Mind.
And soul.
Notice what works for you.
To draw the attention deeper within.
Into your center.
Connect.
Notice.
What feels right.
And want to let go of to move deeper within.
Is a tightness in the body.
Is it a wall in the mind?
Or something else.
Just notice what is there for you.
And choose to perhaps keep it?
Or release.
It is your choice,
Always.
Now in a few minutes.
Are going to journey back.
And remember.
This inner being.
Deep within.
Deep within you.
Guiding you.
Holding space.
This quiet refuge from the storm of life at times.
Easily acceptable.
By your breath.
Two.
Three breaths.
And you are there.
Deep within.
That inner being.
And calm.
Release it.
All that you need.
All that you need.
And slight and calm.
Coming back to you.
Anytime.
So in a few moments.
.
.
Feel in the arms.
And the fingers and the toes.
Remembering the body,
The softness and the calm that chooses to stay within the muscles the clarity in the mind from that nice little rest that you provided it with.
And that inner being.
Prominent now within.
Fluttering the eyes open.
Noticing the room around you,
Feeling the floor beneath the feet.
Carrying on.
With your day.
Having yourself.
A magical day.
