Allowing yourself to take a moment to get comfortable,
Gently closing your eyes,
Maybe allowing your gaze to soften and lower down to the ground.
Begin by noticing your breath,
Not trying to change it,
Just noticing the inhale and the exhale,
The body's natural rhythm.
Just noticing each in and out breath.
If your mind feels busy,
That's okay,
No need to quiet it,
No need to force it,
Just allowing your attention to rest on the breath,
Bringing your awareness now into your body,
Noticing where you might be holding tension as you scan from the top of the head down over the eyes and forehead,
Over the temples and the cheeks,
The mouth,
The jaw,
The neck,
The shoulders,
Noticing what is tight where there's tension and without forcing anything,
Just inviting a small softening,
A small release,
Gently,
Effortlessly,
Nothing dramatic,
Just a little less holding,
And as that tension moves away,
Bring your attention now to the support you feel beneath you,
Where your body is making contact with the chair or the ground.
Just let yourself be held for a moment.
You don't have to solve anything in this moment.
Just be here,
Breathing,
Grounded,
Supported,
And when it feels right,
Open your eyes,
Rejoin the environment around you.
