In every pursuit of passing pleasures.

Seeking to measure your worth.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Across this river we wade alone.

Though together in perfect oneness.

Individual waves upon the same ocean.

Slowly remembering all that we've forgotten.

We struggle.

Dampened spirits.

Flickering lights.

Lukewarm intentions void of action.

Stuck in the same quicksand.

Tar pits tugging us under.

Asunder we float.

Slipping while gripping icebergs.

Glaciers of obstacles encircle us.

Varicated by frost.

Lost is perspective.

To the non-reflective.

Seemingly random situations.

Hostile strangers.

To ourselves.

Casting stones of judgement.

Overlooking promise.

A tiny sea longing to sprout.

With just the right amount of water.

And light.

Give yourself permission to grow.

Permission to be.

Boundless energy.

Flowing into a great big sea.
