Sound Bath Sessions 236: Azmi Samdjaga
I missed Azmi during my first visit to Singapore, so he was the first person I contacted when I knew I was coming. Maddy Banderas got wind of my upcoming trip to Singapore and suggested we use her space for the recording. Azmi is a veteran of the Singapore sound bath scene. He is a multi-instrumentalist and a performance artist. He decided to record one long 37-minute track. He sang and played the gongs and bowls in a slow tempo during his performance. I was happy to hear the rain and distant thunder outside the window as we began. This track is very comfortable and consistent, and easy to connect with. It is a perfect sound bath to lull you to sleep.
