Sound Bath Sessions 212: Minju Kim
Minju's space was a small office/studio apartment near the Guro Digital Complex Station. I was truly frozen by this point and had to drink a warm soymilk from the convenience store in her building. It's interesting that I remember her sessions in snapshots. Brief moments of emotion and wonder connected by a droning bowl. Minju's style is gentle and steady. The sounds of her bowls surround you like a warm hug. Her space was Sunday morning quiet. Small. Intimate. In this track, she started with the bamboo chimes, then played over them as they slowly faded. A great contrast of sound. I love the sound of those bamboo chimes.
