Sound Bath Sessions 197: Minju Kim
Minju's space was a small office/studio apartment near the Guro Digital Complex Station. I was truly frozen by this point and had to drink a warm soymilk from the convenience store in her building. It's funny that I remember her sessions in snapshots. Brief moments of emotion and wonder connected by a droning bowl. Minju's style is gentle and steady. The sounds of her bowls surround you like a warm hug. Her space was Sunday morning quiet. Small. Intimate. My favorite Bamboo chimes are played again. This session begins with energy, power, and noise before lulling you to sleep. Drones are very long and very slow. The best way to listen to this one is in your unconscious, where there is no concept of time.
