Sound Bath Sessions 179: Jung Yeun Hee
My last stop this day was Jung Yeun Hee. It was about 1 hour train ride from my Minju Kim. I got to Dongducheonjungang Station just as the orange dusk glow faded behind the mountains. At this point, I was freezing but at least the train ride warmed me up a little. Her studio space sounded great. She holds her own classes and workshops here and so there were many bowls, gongs, and other instruments around the room. In the corner, a wood fireplace crackles and completes the picture. She has a metal shelf stand in front of her where she positions her bowls. With so many bowls, you would think that one would be lost or it would just be so chaotic but she manages it so well. Her sessions are so musical and breathtaking, full of sound and emotion. These are some of my most enjoyable sessions to listen to. This is a wonderful session. There is a point when she hits just the right notes and takes your breath away until the end.
