Sound Bath Sessions 139: Tet Fojas Bachmann
Friends Francesca and Tet combined their sessions in this recording. Though their styles are different, their respect for each other’s work create a tight bond. Tet’s style is slow and mindful. Her composition plays with the build-up and release of the tension created by the gongs and chimes. After introducing the session with chimes she slowly begins with Jupiter, eventually enveloping you with humbling feedback-like harmonics and resonances. The chimes ring again letting you take a much needed breath before Amihan is unleashed with an ear-puckering onslaught of energy and tension. The walls you built are demolished, your former self torn to shreds. As the dust settles, a shaker creates a stark contrast that softens an otherwise all metal ensemble. Finally, the simple rhythm of a tongue drum awakens a forgotten self, ready to begin again. A very simple but powerful composition.
