Sound Bath Sessions 068: Queena Chan
After the duet sessions with Yumi, she had expressed interest in recording a solo session and I anxiously awaited the day when I could record her. I really like her style of playing and also the instruments she has selected. She had really defined her style and sound which always makes it a unique experience. In this first recording, she played the ocean drum and metal singing bowls. She has a heavy hand, perhaps because of the type of mallets she uses. Despite this, it still allows for a deep meditation. The continuous buzz of a water feature hums in the background with the distant traffic sounds down below.
