Long time Hong Kong resident Nancy Trueman left a few years ago dividing her time between London and Whistler she regularly performs for charitable causes, art exhibitions, and sound bath sessions in beautiful locations. Recorded on her recent visit to Hong Kong, she brought two gongs with her just for the recording in her hotel room. In this session, she uses different tempos and rhythms to create a pace for the listener. Eventually striking the gong in the tempo of her own breaths creating a connection between the listener and her, everyone breathing as one. The session is divided into three parts that have their own distinctive sound. Each one is divided with an intentional moment of silence providing a much-needed respite from the weighty sound of the gong.
