Today,

I'd like to share a short reflection,

An invitation to notice the season and open to an intimacy with life itself.

What does that mean?

Well,

To me,

It means being present enough to receive,

To allow what's here,

Within and without,

To transform you.

Right now,

Where I am,

The season is changing,

The air is cooling,

And something about this subtle shift in temperature,

Gentle but potent,

Reminds me to be present.

A cooler than usual night,

Well,

Hello again air,

I'm reminded to wrap myself in a cozy soft sweater,

To treat myself kindly,

To take extra care,

And breathe in that sweet autumn air.

Hello again life,

I notice the trees around me shifting their colors,

Preparing to receive more and more light,

Well,

So shall I.

It's all fine,

And when I can say,

Hey,

It's all alright,

And when I can let that truth in,

That's an intimacy,

An intimacy with life.

If you wish,

Take a breath in,

Notice how you feel in this moment,

Notice how it feels to me life just as it is,

Just as you are,

And may you carry this intimacy with you into the rest of your day,

And into the rest of your life,

And thank you for sharing this moment with me.
