So let's begin by starting to settle in.

Working on finding a posture that feels comfortable for you,

Whether that's sitting or lying down.

And once you've arrived there,

Just gently closing down your eyes and starting to draw your awareness inwards.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose.

And exhaling slowly.

With each exhale letting go of any stress or tension you might be holding onto in your body.

Perhaps taking a moment to unclench the jaw.

Maybe rolling the shoulders up towards the ears and then down the back body away from the ears.

As best as you can,

Letting go of any ideas of what this practice should look or feel like.

Just allowing your experience to be exactly as it is in this moment.

The sense of acceptance,

Presence and curiosity.

So just noticing the gentle rising and falling of your breath.

Noticing how it feels in your body just to be here,

Breathing.

Rather than resisting,

Just allowing your thoughts,

Your emotions and sensations in your body to just happen.

Acknowledging them and bringing your attention right back to the breath,

In and out.

Allowing any sounds and other distractions to be there without any judgment or frustration.

All you have to do in this moment is simply pay attention to your breath.

I would now like to invite you to adventure to a place in the wild.

A place that maybe calls to you.

Whether that's the woods,

The sandy beaches near the ocean,

A place surrounded by the mountains,

An open green meadow or field.

Take a moment to go there.

And once you're there,

Just be there.

Present,

Breathing in the open air.

And by being fully present in this place,

Just starting to notice what you see.

You really higher cars with him.

You.

Tuning in to the different sounds you might hear.

Noticing the different smells and the air around you.

Noticing what it feels like where your body is connected with the earth.

Just tuning in to whatever sensations come to mind in this place.

Noticing how they feel in your body in this very moment.

Noticing how they feel in your body in this very moment.

In the wilderness,

One of the things we can come to understand is the true nature of our being.

We are often drawn into the woods,

Into the mountains,

The ocean,

Into lush green meadows because the waves,

The trees,

The mountains and grasses are free from ego.

Free from comparing or judging.

Just resting naturally in what they are.

Free of self-consciousness and merged within the seamless fabric of life.

There is beautiful freedom in that existence and with close contact we can have a similar experience of unity.

It is often the vastness of the outdoors that serves as a reminder that inner space is always available to us.

The mountains show us what it's like to be grounded,

Unmoved by the changing of day into night and the changes of the weather and of the seasons.

Even the deepest rooted trees show us each and every autumn how necessary it is to let go of the old in order to create space for the new.

A lively blade of grass in the field reaching for a helping hand from the sun for warmth and growth shows us that we are never on this journey alone.

The ocean waves showing us that we cannot change the waves.

Though we can learn to surf.

And we have the ability to choose which waves we like to ride and which we will allow to pass.

A lake showing us that no matter what's happening on the surface,

There is always stillness beneath.

And by simply tuning into the breath,

As you have here,

You too can become the stillness below the noisy surface.

It is in this stillness where you discover your truest nature.

A way to continue coming back home to yourself.

Over and over again.

Even during the inevitable ups and downs that the journey of life has in store.

So this place that called to you.

What might this place be teaching you?

And now,

Perhaps taking a moment to think of a simple way to take this lesson into your life.

In the days and the weeks ahead.

And now starting to draw your breath in a little bit deeper here once again.

As you start to bring your awareness back to the environment that you're in.

And when you feel ready,

Slowly blinking your eyes back open.

I'm grateful to have shared this journey with you.

Stay wild my friends.

Namaste.

Nice way to wake up and be rejuvenated with the sound of nature in this meditation. Hearing the metaphors for life with the nature theme help keeping us grounded and reminding us the the important things in life.

Very peaceful. The background sounds were just right. Perhaps the voice could be a little softer and quieter but otherwise lovely.

This was so helpful to me today. Thank you for the encouragement to let go of my expectations of how the meditation should go- I never realized I had expectations before!
