My name is Chris,
And thank you for joining me today on this wonderful adventure through your imagination.
Before we begin,
Find a quiet and relaxing space where you will not be disturbed.
Take off any tight clothing and get comfortable.
You may sit or lie down,
Even stand.
There are no rules or requirements,
Only that you relax and stay present in this moment.
Now start by taking slow,
Even,
Natural breaths.
Only breathe as deeply as you feel you can comfortably do so.
Close your eyes and begin to imagine an hourglass.
Watch as the sand slowly streams through the center and down to the bottom.
Really focus and slowly zoom in on the grains of sand while you breathe in and out with full,
Deep,
Natural breaths.
Keep watching the grains of sand until all you can see is each grain falling one by one into the infinite possibilities of your mind.
As you watch your final grain of sand fall,
Follow it until you yourself are in the sand,
With the sand.
You cannot help but feel the soft,
Quiet warmth all around you.
Feel it as you realize you are inside of the sand,
As if the hourglass was dropping each grain on you in a slow,
Soothing rhythm.
With this physical awareness present,
See in your imagination that you push out of the mound of sand.
Slowly look around and observe the endless beauty of sand as far as the eye can see.
Observe that you are,
Undoubtedly,
In a desert.
A desert that you can explore with no limitations.
Feel the heavy heat from the sun.
Notice the solid blue sky,
Not a cloud to be seen.
Continue to look around to see if there is anything or anyone else there with you.
Dance with all of your being.
A slight breeze relieves you from the dry,
Arid air as you can feel yourself sway and almost lift up into the sky.
Begin to feel as the wind swirls and circles around you,
As if alive and urging you to move on.
Letting go of your thoughts,
You feel the wind current pick up,
Still teasing you as you feel lighter and lighter,
As if the air is drying you out into sand itself.
Suddenly the air changes.
It stops and shifts direction.
You can feel the spiraling wind picking up speed and energy.
You have this realization that you are not alone.
The desert wind spirit has found you and chosen you to experience a feeling and sense of being that is very rare.
No one can see the spirit with their eyes.
You can only wait to see if it allows you to recognize its form.
Using the sand,
The spirit creates a visible form for you to see.
A hand of wind and sand reaches out to you.
You can feel its innocence,
Purity and playfulness while you reach out towards the hand without a second thought.
As you inhale,
You feel the spirit pull you up and ride the wind together.
See yourself flying through the sky.
A mixture of wind and sand cascading across the landscape.
Continue breathing and surrender your imagination to wherever it may lead.
Surrender to the rolling dunes as you soar above them like waves on an ocean.
Let yourself go and fly high above the desert sands and into the bright blue sky.
Allow the spirit to guide you through the vast space of the desert,
Both high in the sky and low to the sand below.
Take some time now to fly with the spirit.
You continue to journey with the spirit through the endless dunes before coming to a sparkling spot in the sand.
As you reach closer to this spot,
You start to make out colors and shapes.
Green blue pond,
Green palm leaves.
You find yourself in an oasis.
The spirit lets you down gently by the cool water that is so pristine and still that it looks like a mirror pressed into the face of the desert.
Take a moment to look into the water to see your reflection.
Do not hurry.
Take as much time as you need to focus on the shapes and contours of you.
Who are you?
Do you feel like you are what you see?
Is that really who you are?
Look closer.
As you do,
You notice that you are transparent.
Only a shimmer of sand floating in a rotation to create a physical form but deep inside,
The same as the spirit,
Full of life,
Wonder and mystery.
A ripple in the water breaks your concentration and you look up towards an underground cavern that drops into darkness.
You look to the wind spirit but it is no longer there.
Now it is just you.
You are the wind that will carry you to where you want to go.
When you think of that place,
You will go.
Now think of that dark cave.
Think of yourself speeding right into it as if being pulled into it through some magical magnetic field.
See yourself plunging down into the darkness with no end in sight.
As you feel yourself going down deeper and deeper,
You feel your body getting heavier again.
You can feel it as you solidify and become a physical dense being,
No longer flying but flowing back into your body as the tunnel now has a bright light at its center.
The bright light starts to get larger and larger until it becomes the room that you are in.
Take a few final deep exhilarating breaths and start to slowly move your body.
Hands,
Feet,
Neck,
Back.
Start moving and rotating them slowly.
Open your eyes and fully stretch and exhale with a strong sigh.
