Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Either lying down,
Surrounded by pillows and blankets,
Or sitting comfortably in a chair or your bed.
Either cross-legged or feet flat on the earth.
Begin by taking a deep inhale through your nose and exhale out your mouth,
Letting it all go.
Again,
Deep inhale through your nose,
Exhale out your mouth.
Last time,
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale out your mouth.
Begin to wiggle your toes and then keep them still,
Bringing awareness to each individual toe,
The top of your foot and the bottom of your foot,
Feeling your heels and your feet resting upon the surface beneath you.
And bringing your awareness up through your calves,
Your shins,
Up through your knee joints and your thighs.
And feeling the back of your thighs and your bottom touching the surface beneath you.
What does that feel like?
Feeling comforted and supported.
Bringing your awareness up through your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your low back and your stomach,
Bringing attention and light to all your organs,
Functioning perfectly.
Continue your awareness up your spine,
Through your heart center and up into your chest,
Wrapping shoulder blades down your back,
Lengthening out through your collarbones,
Bringing awareness down each arm,
Through the elbow,
Down the forearm into your wrist,
The palm of your hands,
The back of your hands and each individual finger all the way through the nail.
Bringing your attention up back up to your neck,
Softening your jaw,
Parting your teeth and resting your tongue on the bottom of your mouth,
Relaxing your cheeks and softening the area in between your eyes,
Softening your forehead and your skull,
Dropping your awareness back down into your heart center,
Placing both hands over your heart and possibly even feeling the beating of your heart.
Taking a moment of pause to feel this,
To acknowledge your heart beating inside of you and what a miracle you are.
Feeling this combination of your heart beating with your breath,
This combination means you're here for a reason.
You woke up another day for a reason.
We are here giving gratitude in this moment simply for our heart beating and what a miracle that is.
Begin to visualize this bright,
Glittery white light beaming out through your heart center.
With each breath,
This light grows more intense,
More strong,
Bigger,
Surrounding your whole body,
The insides and the space surrounding your body.
This light is getting brighter,
Filling up the room you're in.
This light is your heart,
It is your love,
It is your gratitude.
Just take a moment to quite literally feel this light,
Feel the love coming from it.
Take a deep breath into this light and release.
And allowing this light to extend out into your community,
Filling up your whole city.
This light extends to every being in this country and every being on this planet.
Bringing the light back down to your heart center,
Back to you.
And just start to bring to mind one thing you are feeling extremely grateful for in this moment.
Begin to visualize this thing,
Whether it's a person,
A memory,
An object,
An animal,
A feeling,
An emotion,
Anything,
Bringing this object,
This thing,
This person into your heart and quite literally feel the gratitude deep down into yourselves.
And what makes you so grateful for this person,
This object,
This thing,
This memory.
And you might physically feel it in your heart center and allow that feeling to expand throughout your body and quite literally changing your chemistry in your body right now,
Attracting in more miracles,
More love,
More light,
More gratitude.
More we acknowledge the gratitude in our lives,
We acknowledge what we do have.
We are given more opportunities to be grateful.
Taking your breath,
Inhale through the nose and release out the mouth.
And closing this meditation with one last thank you,
One last moment of gratitude.
Knowing you can always come back to this feeling.
It is within you.
It is engraved within you.
May you always be able just to pause,
Put your hands over your heart,
Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath.
And you'll always return to this feeling.
