
Guided Visualization For Healing The Gut
The distress we experience in our bodies—whether constipation, IBS-D, IBS-C, or leaky gut—can reflect how we handle life’s stresses. For those with IBS-D, you may go multiple times a day yet still feel incomplete, like the river hasn’t fully flowed. In this meditation, we focus on unblocking the river which may resonate with those experiencing constipation. If this imagery does not feel helpful, you can instead notice areas where the current feels rushed or bumpy and invite gentle calm, softening and steadying the flow. Explore what your river is needing. Your body doesn’t distinguish between what you imagine and what is real. With curiosity and non-judgment, explore your body’s rhythm and allow it to move with ease, like a flowing river.
