Hi,
My name is Rishi.
Welcome to your practice.
Whether your workday has been busy or slow,
This is an opportunity to check in with you,
Your body and your mind,
Your inner voice.
This is a walking practice,
And so if you're not already mobilized,
Go ahead and stretch your body into gentle movement.
If you use a wheelchair,
Walker,
Or mobility device,
This practice is designed with you in mind.
As you settle into your movement.
How's your day going?
What are you bringing into this moment?
Sometimes it feels like we can't bring all of ourselves into every environment,
Which can be challenging.
That's why having moments to remember your breath and your inner dialogue is so important.
When you're ready,
I invite you to tilt your chin up to the horizon and loosen your jaw.
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Now try coordinating your breath with your steps.
One option is to take one inhale for six steps and one exhale for six steps to create depth and balance in your body,
Grounding yourself in the presence.
If you're rolling or moving differently,
Let one full cycle of movement,
Whatever that means for your body,
Anchor your breath.
Inhale through your nose,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Exhale through your nose,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Keep going just like that to the beat and modify the count to your comfort.
Thank you for being here.
May you move with care and carry the depth of your breath back into your day.
