My Wonderful Event - A Practical Prayer

Every aspect of this event comes together in exquisite perfection for everyone involved. It could be a wedding, a vacation, a picnic - any event. This Practical Prayer uses a formula proven effective in most of the world's religions. This prayer is spoken in the first person. As you listen, you're invited to accept the words for yourself, also in the first person. This is a practical prayer for a wonderful event.

It can be any event that you're having,

Something like a picnic,

Or a wedding,

Or a vacation,

Or a family gathering.

Simply take a moment now to bring to mind the event that you have coming up,

And the concerns or challenges that you have about it,

And we'll take it to prayer.

I'll speak it in the first person,

And invite you to take the words for yourself,

Also in the first person.

Love is all there is.

It takes on an infinite variety of forms and appearances,

But at the heart of everything,

There is love.

Since I know that all is love,

And that all is one,

I know that everything fits together by the very nature of its oneness.

I am this love.

My event,

Which I now bring to mind,

Is this love.

All of the elements and ingredients,

The people,

The materials,

The program,

The space,

The weather,

The food,

The entertainment,

Everything,

Everything.

It's all this love as well.

Every aspect of this event comes together in exquisite perfection.

It's the harmony and beauty of God's love expressing itself as this wonderful event.

This is the activity of God,

Bringing good and more good to me and to every person involved.

There's no problem,

No difficulty,

And certainly no disaster necessary.

Anything less than the perfect unfolding of this event is simply unacceptable.

It's a false idea and is returned immediately to the empty darkness from which it came.

This event is already perfect in the mind of the One.

I now affirm and allow it to fully take form as a joyous and wonderful experience for each one involved.

I'm deeply grateful for this fabulous event,

For my ability to know this truth and speak this word.

I release it to the Law,

And so it is.
