Welcome to this meditation for heart chakra healing.
Find a position that's comfortable for you,
One that you can maintain long enough for this meditation,
And be kind to yourself,
Knowing that it's okay to adjust your position as needed.
If you feel any discomfort,
Gently shift,
But do so with mindfulness.
As you settle in,
Acknowledge that thoughts will come.
It's natural and it's okay.
Meditation is not about forcing the mind to be still,
But rather observing and letting go when thoughts arise.
If you find your mind wandering,
Just bring your attention back,
Gently and without judgment.
Let go of any expectations.
Now that you've come to your chair,
Cushion,
Bed,
Or floor,
Create this moment of peace for yourself.
Allow yourself to settle fully into this time of silence and stillness.
Commit to staying with this practice through the end.
Let's begin by closing the eyes or maybe gently softening your gaze,
Allowing the light around you to blur.
Now bring your awareness to your breath.
Gently notice the rise and fall of your chest.
The natural rhythm of your inhalation and exhalation.
Stay with the breath for a few moments.
Feel your body begin to soften and relax as your breath becomes fuller and more complete.
If your thoughts wander off,
Bring them back.
Thoughts are okay.
We welcome them and then we gently let them go.
As you return your focus to this moment and to your breath.
Now take a full yawn.
You can fake yawn until one comes naturally.
Let your body release any tension through that yawn.
Good.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Inhale fully into your belly and then into your chest,
Expanding your lungs.
Slowly release the air,
Starting with your chest and your belly.
Good.
Let's do this two more times.
Inhaling fully.
Exhaling completely.
And once more.
Let's begin with the cleansing of your energy centers.
Starting from the root chakra at the base of your spine.
Visualizing a glowing red sphere of energy spinning here,
Representing your root chakra.
This energy governs your sense of stability,
Safety,
And connection to the earth.
Imagine this red energy glowing brighter with each inhale,
Expanding,
Becoming vibrant.
As you exhale,
See the red light grow outward,
Enveloping your body with grounding,
Calming energy.
Go ahead and take a full breath in as you imagine this energy cleansing any blockages or negativity in your root chakra.
As you exhale,
Release any tension or fear you may be holding in this area.
Go ahead and do that again.
Now move your focus slightly higher,
To just below the navel,
To the sacral chakra.
Visualize an orange light spinning there,
Representing your creativity,
Emotions,
And pleasure.
With each inhale,
See this orange light expand,
Filling your body with warm,
Nurturing energy.
With each exhale,
Imagine this orange light gently washing away any stagnant or blocked energy within this chakra.
Releasing any unexpressed emotions or creative blocks.
Allowing this area to become vibrant and free.
Get your attention to just above the navel,
To your solar plexus.
Visualize a bright yellow light spinning in this area,
The source of your willpower,
Confidence,
And self-esteem.
As you inhale fully,
Let this yellow light grow larger and brighter,
Infusing you with a sense of strength,
Motivation,
And clarity.
As you exhale completely,
Releasing any self-doubt or fears that have been weighing on you.
Allow this chakra to become cleansed,
Vibrant,
And full of personal power.
Next,
Bring your awareness to the center of your chest,
Your heart chakra.
Visualize a soft green light spinning there,
Representing love,
Compassion,
And connection.
With each inhale,
See this light expand,
Growing brighter and more powerful.
As it expands,
It fills your chest with unconditional love for yourself and others.
As you exhale,
Imagine this green light flowing outward,
Surrounding your entire body.
You are now bathed in a warm,
Healing light of love and compassion.
Allowing any lingering negativity in your heart to release,
Making space for love,
Empathy,
And kindness.
Part of healing the heart chakra involves forgiveness.
Forgiveness towards ourselves,
And forgiveness towards others.
I invite you to spend a moment in the energy of the forgiveness that's most needed at this time,
So that you may return to a state of unconditional love.
Guiding your focus now back to your breath,
Filling your belly and your chest with air.
Allowing this energy that you've gathered from the chakras to deepen within you,
As you prepare to chant the heart-healing frequency of YAM.
Breathe in.

And breathe out.
Good.
Now inhale fully,
And on your next exhale,
We'll chant together YAM.
Inhaling again.

You're welcome to continue to chant,
Allowing the vibration of the sound to harmonize with the energy you've built within,
Especially in your heart chakra and all of your energy centers.
Continue this chant for the next few moments if you'd like,
Letting your voice rise and fall naturally,
Until eventually your lips seal together,
And you continue to just breathe in.

Slowly,
Gently returning your breathing to its natural rhythm,
Let the green light of love continue to surround you.
Each breath you take is infused with love,
Healing,
And compassion.
Silently,
Or maybe out loud,
Repeat these affirmations after me.
I am connected to others and the earth.
I am love.
I give and receive love.
My heart is open.
I feel grateful.
I love myself and others.
I see beauty in all people and all things around me.
I feel profound joy in my life.
I accept myself just as I am.
I am surrounded by unconditional love and support.
Now allow yourself to rest in stillness,
Breathing fully and exhaling completely.
Visualize the healing light of your heart expanding further.
With each breath,
Let this green light glow,
And as it glows and grows,
It moves beyond your body,
Touching every corner of your home,
Your neighborhood,
And your city.
Let this loving energy continue to flow,
Radiating peace and love to all beings,
To the world,
And to the universe.
Feel the deep connection to the entire universe.
As we near the end of this meditation,
Gently guide your awareness back to your breath,
Feeling the rise and fall of the breath in your body.
When you're ready,
Gently begin to move your fingers and toes,
Starting to bring movement back into your body,
Wiggling your hands and feet and reconnecting to the physical world.
Gently stretch your arms and legs if you feel the need,
And as you're ready,
Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.
Keep your focus inward,
Bringing your awareness to the peaceful state you've cultivated.
As you feel ready,
Now fully opening your eyes,
And gently guiding yourself back to the present moment.
You are grounded,
Cleansed,
And connected.
You may now return to your day,
Carrying with you the peace and healing energy you've cultivated.
