Transcript

The gift of a talisman.

Sit comfortably with your hands in your lap and palms facing up.

Place your feet on the ground and close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Feel your body start to relax.

Take another deep breath in and as you exhale,

You feel your shoulders and arms relax.

Now with nice steady breaths,

Allow any thoughts you may have to drift slowly by as you relax a little more.

You are lying on a beach by a calm sea.

It is a beautiful sunny day but the beach is empty except for a few seagulls.

The peace and quiet is exactly what you need after your busy day.

You begin to notice a few gentle sounds.

The birds flying past as they play together and the occasional gentle waves stroke in the sand.

These are just background noises,

A gift from above,

Letting you know you are alive and well.

As you lie there enjoying the warmth of the sun,

You suddenly notice a different sound in the waves as they roll in towards the shore.

You sit up and watch as the waves carry with them a large wooden box which they leave on the beach not far from where you are.

Standing up you move towards the box which resembles a large treasure chest with the familiar curved shaped lid.

You notice the lid is slightly open and as you open it wide you see it is full of wonderful things and has a sign saying please take one.

Without hesitating,

You sort through the treasures until you find one that is full of positive meaning for you.

You know it is a talisman that will restore your spirits whenever you feel low.

You pick it up,

Close the lid of the treasure chest and return to where you had been lying on the beach.

You sit with your talisman for a few moments,

Allowing the energies to flow over you.

Next item.

It is now time to leave the beach and to come back to this room.

You are aware of my voice and the noises in the room.

You are aware of sitting in your chair.

You are aware of your arms and your hands,

Your legs and your feet and when you are ready open your eyes.
