Welcome to the Faith Itself Unique Meditation Series.

My name is Aspasia Kumliwood and I will be guiding you to a focused meditation.

Find a quiet place where you won't be distracted.

Sit comfortably with your head over your heart.

Allow your mind and body to deeply relax.

For the next few minutes you will allow yourself to deeply relax without effort or concern.

Make sure that you won't be disturbed.

And take a deep breath and exhale.

At this moment I would like you to close your eyes if you haven't done so already.

Now open your eyes.

Did you notice any thoughts or images or inner chatter?

Of course you did.

We all do.

And that's okay.

That's great.

In this meditation we allow the thoughts to come and go as they please.

We are not here to silence the mind.

We are here to relax and allow the mind to clear itself.

Close your eyes again.

Open your eyes again.

Did you notice any thoughts or images or inner chatter?

Did you notice how easily and effortlessly the mind produced these thoughts?

That's how I would like you to introduce in your mind's eye the following sound.

So hum.

By focusing on this sound we are creating focus for the mind and we are also allowing the mind to clear out all the unneeded and unwanted thoughts.

So your only job is to just repeat that sound.

So hum.

And every time your thoughts go away just remind yourself to go back to that sound.

This is your mantra.

So hum.

I am that.

Allow the mantra to be introduced effortlessly by your mind.

Don't force it.

Allow it to be as slow or as quick as your mind desires.

This mantra clears the subconscious mind and relaxes the nervous system.

With this mantra you are entering the depths of your own stillness and quiet.

Now as we start you should always remember.

If you do this at your own time without this recording just remember to take 30 seconds without the mantra.

Sitting still while your eyes close remain silent for 30 seconds.

And now allow the sound to enter your mind.

So hum.

I will leave you by yourself for 20 minutes and I will let you know when it is time to let go of the mantra and come back.

Just repeat the mantra effortlessly for the next 20 minutes.
