One of the things that would be really good for our mental health is if we understood that everything happens to help us.

So in our lives,

The good things and the bad things are both coming.

They've almost been tailor-made just for us,

These experiences,

To teach us.

So if we walk forward with this embrace of life,

This unconditional reverence and acceptance of life,

Then the universe can go very soft with us.

When we're going against the universe,

When we're having trouble following our hearts,

We can experience that,

You know,

Things look very dark and life seems to lose meaning.

Now those experiences just come when we're in our egos actually.

So and they can actually be part of the ego's death when we're clearing issues and our ego is actually becoming smaller.

It will rise up very strongly and we might feel very unhappy.

And at points where our soul is really on the move,

Our ego will come in very strongly like a dictator trying to keep power and it might start sending us thoughts about suicide.

And the idea of just the ending the pain might feel really attractive and the idea that we can just,

You know,

Stop it,

Step off.

And often at this time we're not really thinking about,

Well,

We're not thinking clearly patently,

But we're not thinking about other people.

We're just caught in,

You know,

How much we might want to commit suicide.

Now this,

You know,

It might help to understand that these impulses come from the ego.

It is the ego trying to say,

I'm the eternal one.

I'm staying in power and saying to our soul,

Which is really the invincible one,

The internal one is trying to kill the soul.

Okay,

So that doesn't work.

And you know,

We can't kill our souls.

We can just end this life.

But you know,

From my time in the Eastern in India,

You know,

And all my years of studying with Amma and other people,

It's clear that,

You know,

We perhaps have more than one life.

So what happens is if we cut this one short,

We just have to come back and do it.

We don't get off the hook.

It's just the ego,

Deluded,

Trying to keep power like some tyrant and trying to kill our soul.

So that's why the expression,

You know,

The darkest night is just before dawn.

The darkest time of the night is just before dawn.

It gets darker and darker and darker until just before the light dawns and the new understanding dawns.

You know,

There's some accounts by people who failed in their suicide attempt,

You know,

Who jumped off a bridge and survived,

Did other things and survived.

And in all of them,

In this account I read,

It was,

They all said it was a mistake.

They knew it was a mistake.

As soon as they,

In this case,

Jumped off the bridge.

And the thing is that when we do something like jump on the bridge,

There is a surrender in that in a way.

So then the person gets up to the truth that,

Oh,

This was such a mistake.

So you know,

Remember that and remember it when times are tough.

And you know,

The more intense the pain is,

The bigger the light that's wanting to come.

And do things for yourself,

Like human things,

Comforting things for yourself when you're like that.

You know,

I used to,

You know,

I had a dog and I walked my dog and having these conversations with other dog owners was a big help to my mental health when I was caught in,

You know,

Clearing a complex and my stuff was coming up really strongly,

Just on its way to dying away to getting smaller.

But you know,

It feel very intense for me at that time.

Or I would have just,

You know,

Casual conversations with people at the shop,

Anything to remind me,

You know,

Of the rest of humanity,

It would help me out of my head.

You know,

These sort of just ordinary conversations or exercise.

Or reading an inspirational book,

You know,

Baking cookies for someone.

Just any small human thing can help you come down to the ground and find your balance.

And remember,

Which is the whole point of why I'm making these videos,

Remember how precious you are,

How precious and loved you are.

We've forgotten.

We've lost touch.

We've lost touch with how precious Mother Nature is,

Which is why Mother Nature is screaming.

And we've lost touch with how precious we are and our children are,

Which is why we're having trouble with mental illness right now.

So just remember how precious and valuable you are.

Because the amount that you're loved by the universe by God is so huge,

It is beyond your imagination.

But you might be able to feel it,

Just open to the possibility of it.

And I'm sending love to you.

Blessings.

Wow I've been thinking lately that suicide would be easier than living right now. I heard your talk and it's really helped me understand why perhaps it isn't the way. I will listen to it when my ego tricks me into thinking it is. Much gratitude to you 🙏 💗
