I'm here at Amma's ashram in India.
And one of the things I notice as the world is getting deeper and deeper into this quagmire that we're in,
It's sort of we're approaching a tipping point.
It isn't just the climate.
It's really about whether the human race will start genuflecting to the wisdom that created us so we can survive basically.
Because basically,
If we don't listen to our hearts,
We don't open to a bigger understanding than just our egocentric human one,
The human race,
We won't continue.
So one of the things I notice is how fear is stopping people,
Even small amounts of fear stops people in their tracks and might keep them hiding behind a wall for decades when at any time they could just stand up and go,
You know,
I'm here for a short time.
I want to live the life I came here to live,
Live it to the fullest.
And,
You know,
It seems scary maybe to do that,
But it's far scarier,
I think,
To reach old age and to realize that you never ever lived the life you came for and that you're just faced with,
You know,
Shriveling without ever blossoming.
You know,
That's far scarier to me,
Always has been,
Than any of the fears that I faced along the way to free the love in my heart,
Because that's all the fear is.
We're scared of how loving we are.
We're scared of our true natures.
You know,
This is so obvious to me now,
But,
You know,
The trouble is you have to either live it to find the truth of it or hang around spiritual masters who,
You know,
Are kind of walking proof that we're more than just human beings and we have far more capacities.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
Please have courage,
Okay?
Take a step beyond what you would normally do or normally think,
You know,
Even,
You know,
Sometimes we can't even imagine things just because fear has got hold of our imagination.
So we can imagine horror shows or terrible things happening to the earth,
But can we imagine actually us freeing our hearts,
Being happy,
Walking forward into who we're meant to be?
Well,
Maybe just give it a go.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
