Tips To Help You Find A Truly Authentic Spiritual Teacher

How to know if your teacher is authentic or not? What a million dollar question that is!

Like attracts like is an universal law and it applies in our search for teachers too. The more deeply sincere we are, the more we will tend to find a true teacher.

Real self-realized masters have a palpable aura of peace about them. When they speak, we feel a deep interest and we can listen to them for hours and hours. We will also remember what they say for years.

The reason I trusted Amma so much when I met her is I immediately felt her aura of utter peace. And when she looked at me, It was as if her eyes turned into saucers, And it was as if the Mother of the Universe was looking at me, And I was looking deep into the universe through her eyes. These experiences, They just are so powerful, And they let you know if somebody's enlightened or not. I remember when I met Abraham, A Hawaiian kahuna, Again, I felt great peace around him. And when he spoke, I was interested, Like I just felt this great interest coming up from inside me, Willing to sit there for hours to listen to him. And for anyone who's gone to see Amma, When we look at her, It's like looking at the fireplace. You know, People will look at the fire or at the ocean for hours and hours and hours. And the same thing happens when, You know, People assemble around Amma. We all just sit there, Captivated, Just captivated for hours and hours. And it's her embodiment of truth that's so captivating. These are how you can tell if somebody's really awakened or not. You'll remember things they said years later, Just like the books written by enlightened beings last a long time, Like, You know, The Way of the Tao by Lao Tzu, Or the Bible, Or, You know, The work of Hildegard, Back in, You know, Who lived back in the 12th century, I think, Hildegard von Begum. It's the soul power in them and what they leave behind. Yeah. So the other thing about people, If they're really awake, Is if you spend time with them, Your evolution speeds up. You know, Sitting in their company is like a meditation in itself. You will just get insights. It's as if you're plugging into their generator, You know, You plug into this huge love that they embody and it shines a light on your own ego and you can see, You know, Where you're misaligned more easily around them. It's just peace. If you remember that you get this peaceful feeling, You sort of sink into yourself around them and you'll remember what they said years later. You know, When they speak to you directly, It's an event. It's not just like somebody speaking to you, It feels like an event. So these are just a few sort of hints that will let you know if your teacher is real or not. Yeah. It's important to find a real teacher, But, You know, It's easier to find a real one if you're real yourself, If you're sincere. Because like attracts a like. So if we're really caught in our ego, You know, We might be attracted to somebody who's caught in their ego. But if you sincerely really want to wake up, Really at a deep level, You will find an authentic teacher. Like attracts like. And, You know, If you come across and have a bad experience with a sort of a fake teacher, Just pick yourself up and be grateful for the lesson. I know it's a hard way, But, You know, The least you're clear now and you'll never be fooled again, Hopefully, Especially if you remember these tips that I've given you. Okay. Bless your hearts.
