Spiritual Improvisation
Malcolm Gladwell noted that it takes 10,000 hours to achieve mastery at a subject. Sure it takes time to learn the rules & techniques of a subject, but these aspects are just part of the journey, but not the end game. Likewise, spiritual techniques are necessary at the beginning of our journey but liberation or moksha, is just that, freedom from rules, that is, room to play and improvise with childlike innocence. Premasudha reminds us the rules of the spiritual journey are intended to finally free the love, warmth, intuition and generosity within us, not to inhibit or suppress them.
